Vehicle Detail
2000 Dodge Caravan Sport: 3.3L V6 EFI, 4-speed auto trans. 144,400 miles; runs, drives excellent; a good first car, work or winter vehicle. Options include: dual sliding doors roof rack rear spoiler 7-passenger seating with removable folding middle and rear seats front and rear heat/AC with seperate left, right and rear controls cruise tilt wheel power windows power mirrors (may be heated also) power locks auto lock at speed (locks doors at about 25 mph) power seat keyfob remote (works) AM-FM/CD/cassette player (yes it has both) overhead console digital compass/thermometer tripodometer fuel economy meter dual airbags ventshades This was a family van, so it has typical dings, scratches, minor issues typical of a 10 year old vehicle. Could stand a good cleaning, I cleaned the seats, dash and front carpet but it still needs vaccuuming and probably a real steam clean on the carpet. I picked it up from a family friend who replaced it when the metal coolant lines that send coolant to the rear heater rusted out and it started to leak. It was parked in a garage from last September until the beginning of April. Mechanically it seems to be fine, it starts and runs well, shifts, stops, etc. The exhaust is quiet. I've driven it around the lot several times. Currently it's plumbed with only the front heater core hooked up - it wouldn't be hard to connect the rear if desired; the metal part is about $85, or about $30 in parts store tees and hose would do it. Front heat works well. Tires should pass inspection, they show enough tread (they were put on it about two years ago), but you'll want something better come winter. Body is average; it has a few minor rust spots - a bubble on the right fender, a bit of surface rust on the right sliding door (lower front) and the left rocker panel, and some rust at the bottom of the left door. There are a couple of dings and some scratches to the bumpers. All the doors work well, the liftgate stays lifted, the locks work fine. Right window doesn't work for unknown reasons and I found out it didn't when the vehicle was bought two years ago either. Undercarriage is very good, there are no rust issues that I can find, I'm somewhat surprised as it doesn't appear to have any undercoat and the history shows this has always been a NYS vehicle. If you're looking for a cream puff, this isn't it, but it's a good beater, work van, second/spare car or a good first car for a kid, assuming you can get them to drive a minivan. It's rated at 18-23 MPG, it should have several years and 40,000-50,000 more miles left in it (I see plenty for sale or being driven with 200,000 miles on them). KBB.com says blue book is around $2400 for private seller for this van. Even though the last half dozen or so comparable vans have sold for $1500 or so, this was a no sale, so I guess the cheapskates win out - price is based solely on the cost of this listing and what I can get for it for scrap based on the weight on the registration (4200 lbs) at $190 per ton. Lots of room in this so I can fill it right up if necessary. I gave up my storage lot space, so if I still own it on May 5th I'll bring it home and clean it up some more. Includes a spare set of the metal coolant lines that attach to the front of the motor. Doesn't need them, but I got them in case I did need them. Payment, terms, etc.: Deposit due in 3 days, paid in full in 10. No paypal - cash in person, USPS money orders or checks must clear before vehicle is picked up; no cashier's checks, and any non-cash payment must be for the exact amount of the transaction. Need it shipped? That's up to you to arrange and pay for. I do have this advertised locally, so I reserve the right to pull it any time. Sold as-is, so ask your questions or inspect it before buying. These photos are self hosted so they can run larger than what eBay hosted photos will allow, there are 13 of them, if you're on dial up it may take a few minutes for them all to be viewable. On May-05-10 at 17:40:54 PDT, seller added the following information: Update: Brought this home, vaccuumed it out today, cleaned up some more spots that needed it. For the most part it cleans right up no problem, some of the spots in the carpet will need more attention, or hide them with floor mats. It's not perfect but it's presentable - On May-06-10 at 16:33:28 PDT, seller added the following information: BE AWARE: I'll cancel any bids that look flaky and if the winner is another low feedback recently started account with bids on multiple vehicles in multiple states, I'll just go to the next high bidder - those guys are always Nigeria scammers or kids on their parents computer - Added a set of factory floor mats, an owner's manual, and fixed the broken sunglass holder in the overhead console today. Will try and come up with a replacement steering wheel cover if I think of it Friday. Doubt I can match the hubcap, but if the winner wants a set I can pick one up for about $20.
