1998 MUSTANG GT WITH SALEEN BODY KITReserve is far below the BIN price. I don't know what to expect when the bidding starts, so it's up to you whether or not you wish to use the Buy it Now.This is a really sharp looking car. It's been a great ride since I bought it and am sad to see it go. However, I am excited to see it go to hopefully someone who will take care of it as well as I did. I'm selling it because of the fact that I have moved to the UK. I only come back on average a month a year, therefore, it's a shame to see it just sit there.A new engine was put in just prior to me buying it when it was still under warranty from Ford. Therefore, the true mileage of the engine is about 35K less than what it says on the odometer. There is only 46,000 on the NEW engine! I have been told there is a cold air intake in it - I cannot verify this as I'm not very familiar with engine parts.Been a pleasure to drive it over the years. Have had small problems here and there, typical of American cars - things like electrical (windows, signals, etc.). Although, with that said, all have been fixed to date.The body could use another paint job in the future. Nothing terrible but it would look much better. Decals on the car can easily be bought online and not for that much money either.There is little to no rust at all on the inside or outside of the car. Overall, the car is in very good shape for a 1998 - 12 years old. It's been a great pleasure to drive the car. Car is perfect for short and long trips. It's been to Kentucky and back once as well as up to Buffalo a couple of times (both from Long Island, NY). It is a 5-speed and the clutch and gears feel just as they did when the car was bought. There has been no modification on the clutch or gears (i.e. stock and no short-shift, etc.).Tints are technically illegal in NYS. Despite this, to date and knock on wood, I have yet to receive a ticket for that. It may be illegal but no one pays much attention to it. That too can easily be taken off at a store.The CD player is aftermarket as is the rest of the body kit. It is a Saleen body kit which was placed on the car prior to me buying it - with the side skirts. Side skirts were replaced a few years ago at a body shop as they weren't bolted on properly when bought and broke. There is a PlayStation which is in the trunk. It was originally attached to an aftermarket flip screen which has since been taken out and replaced. I do believe the mufflers are also custom made prior to when I bought the car.Title is clean as well. Since I have been the owner, there has been no serious accidents with this car. Only one minor knock when a neighbour hit the side mirror (which was replaced) - the body wasn't touched.PLEASE NOTE - SOME FAULTS:- Car should be taken to a shop to be checked out. Once in a while it has problems starting. I believe it is an electrical short somewhere. I haven't had a problem with it lately.- Passenger's side, just above the door on the roof, there is a nick. It was there when bought. I do believe that sums about all of it up. If you have any questions about the car, picking it up, payment, etc. please do ask a question.
