Vehicle Detail
This 1969 Pontiac GTO is a prime candidate for restoration. It is being sold AS-IS and has the following: The vehicle has been garage kept for the last 30 years.I am the second owner of the car. I attempted to provide a vehicle history report, but its not offered for 13 digit VIN numbers. I had intended to restore the vehicle myself but never made the time. The Engine does start and runs okay, but needs work and has not been inspected since the early 90s. I replaced wires, plugs distributor cap and points to get it running again. It originally came with a champagne exterior and has a black vinyl roof and black interior. There are rusted out holes in the exterior mostly around the wheel wells (see pictures - driver fender, quarter & passenger fender). Also included is a right and left fender from a dark blue 68 GTO (see pictures). The interior floors appear to be in good shape. The trunk floor is okay but has some rust and the drain plates are loose. There are 4 Tires (2 snows and 2 bald) in the trunk i am including for the rims. The engine size is 400 cubic Inches and rated at 350 Horsepower. The rear end is a rebuilt 12 Bolt Posi-traction differential with less than a few thousand miles on it (3:55 ratio). The under carriage is rusty but has been garage kept since the early 90s and no major damage is present. The dual exhaust pipes are rusty, but appear to have no holes in them. The dash is in fairly good shape and has some modifications for gauges, etc. (as seen in pictures).Has an aftermarket Jensen Stereo and amplifier located in the glove compartment. The interior rear seat and rear interior panels are in good condition with normal wear or and no worn areas. The bucket seats (originally dark green, painted black) are in fairly good condition, but will need some repair (see pictures). The turtle backs on the bucket seats as well as the side panels are in fair shape. The Carpet is worn but is in fair condition and the Glass is in good condition. Most of the original trim is intact and in fair shape. Rear wheel wells have been modified. The inside lip has been bent to make room for 60 profile Tires and Cragar SST Rims. Most of the signage is intact and some are new. Lenses are intact and lights mostly function as normal. Ram Air style hood (non-functioning scoops) in good condition with little or no rust. The hidden head lights system is complete but drivers side does not stay closed when the car is shut off and the vacuum stops. The brakes have been updated (new master cylinder, rear slave cylinders, springs replaced and drum brake pads), but will need some additional work. Exterior is damaged below the drivers door (see the pictures), but the frame was not affected. There are various dents (most notably the driver fender, passenger quarter and above the passenger door). Buyer should be prepared to tow the vehicle or use a flat bed trailer as the vehicle is not currently inspected. The Title is clear and purchase will be finalized at the Local PA-DMV State Tag Office. This 1969 GTO is very desirable for anyone wanting to do some serious auto restoration. The vehicle is being Sold AS-IS. Please feel free to ask any questions that you may have prior to bidding. I will be glad to answer and good luck! This is incorrect, the car has a 400 Cubic inch engine, but it is 350 Horsepower. I re-checked the Engine Code = 'YS' on the block which validates this engine size as stated.
