Vehicle Detail
Up for No Reserve auction is my clean 2001 Firebird Formula. This is an original LS1 car with original 6 speed and rear end. This is 1 of only 156 v8 red formulas and about 1 of 50 red 6 speed formulas for 2001. It is actually pretty rare. Use this link for more high quality photos https://drive.google.com/folderview?id=1EW5vs0Zv3y_C63H23AAHDhngCJu_Kme5This car is in great shape. 145000 miles but doesnt look like it. It has been well kept and driven by a responsible adult. Very close to stock. It has only very minor bolt ons. Nothing internally done. Everything works as it should. Comes with Y2K corvette wheels with Nitto tires that have lots of life left. Only 10,000 miles on the set. Recent additions include.Full set of Koni Street shocksGerman FAG wheel bearings up frontupper and lower controls arms up frontMoog tie rod endsPoly sway bar end links all four cornersslotted and drilled rotorsbrake padssolid Rubber bushings for rear control armsAdjustable Panhard barLower control arm relocation bracketsparking brake shoespower steering linesHeavy duty escalade alternatorCarbon fiber cold air intakeSunvisor delete kitNew short throw shifter with anodized firebird ballAir pump deleted. I also have HPtuners and have disabled the pump via this. I also have turned off the skip shift and adjusted the speedometer for the corvette wheels. I did not bother to mess with the tune at all. This about sums it up. I have spent some time adjusting and getting things to make a great daily driver. I did not want something super stiff or hard to drive. It drives straight smooth and quiet. I have adjusted the T-Tops to get rid of wind noise. Front glass has been adjusted as well. No leaks and no air noise. The A/C blows cold. Heater blows hot. Headlights flip up with no unusual noises. Switches are all in great shape and fully functional. Power seat works in all directions. Doors open and close properly. Car has been in no accidents, has a clean history and clean title. Runs and shifts well. There are only a few issues to speak of.The input shaft bearing for the transmission is bad. I have a brand new bearing, throwout bearing / slave, and New T-56 Input shaft in case the original is damaged. It has not been installed but will need to be. Trans still shifts good and does not pop out of gear or anything like that. Still very drivable just not spirited. The front right fender has some clear coat peel and the roof cover has the typical GM bubbling. The peel has finally gotten worse. I have washed and waxed this car weekly. The rest of the paint is in great shape and is original. No signs of peeling anywhere else on the car.The dash has a small crack as well as the driver door panel. Common to these cars as many knowThe fog lights are partially faded and cracked but I have a brand new set to install on the car.The radio backlight is burnt out and the speakers are going bad. But the original amp still works well and radio still works. Power antenna is a brand new GM part that was installed. That is about all. I like to be up front about my vehicles. I have all the original removed parts plus many extras in a bin. I am not desperate to sell. I am getting a more comfortable vehicle to drive my family around in. If you have any questions please ask. Car has been my daily driver without issue for a year now. Clean and clear title in hand. 500$ deposit due 24 hours after auction ends. 250$ is non refundable. I can assist with shipping or pickup. On Oct-01-18 at 18:50:30 PDT, seller added the following information: The bubbling that I refer to is the fiberglass roof hoop. This is a very common issue on these cars. The glue bleeds through the paint and makes tiny bubbles. There is no rust on this car!
