Nowadays it's getting harder & harder to find a clean Ford diesel pickup that isn't a work truck or has a million miles on it. When you're looking for the ultimate in cargo carrying capability without sacrificing comfort and reliability, your search will begin and end with a Ford Super Duty. This ONE OWNER '08 F250 King Ranch has all the comforts you've come to expect like power windows/locks, tilt/cruise, etc. plus it's a big crew cab so it has the crew and cargo carrying capability. It's been in the family of a local trial lawyer who hit it big in tobacco lawsuits and now owns enough land to rival the actual King Ranch. They just traded it in on a new one where we picked it up. It also has real four wheel drive too with 3.73 limited slip. Best of all, it's got a 6.4 POWERSTROKE DIESEL engine that runs great! Fortunately, the DPF has been deleted and a small 75hp tow tune installed to maximize the MPG and bring the power up to around 425. This is no stripped-down work truck. It's loaded-up with many upgrades such as power pedals, rear parking sensors, fog lights, toolbox, block heater, and more. There's a power sliding rear window to make bed access a snap. The spare tire is still present. It's riding on a BIG set of 37" Nitto tires wrapped around 20" Moto Metal wheels. If you were to take a plain truck and add all the extras that you'll find on this one, you could easily spend over $10,000! What's hard to miss is the big Rough Country lift kit that's been installed. This is no cheapo spring spacer/leaf block kit! It has custom springs, custom shocks, radius arm drop brackets, dual steering stabilizer, etc. etc. Basically, if you're going to do add a lift kit, this is the right way to do it. With the lift, you'll really appreciate the AMP power steps to help you get in & out. These will run you nearly $1500 installed if you buy a truck and want to add them. It also has a rear DVD system with remote control plus a turnover ball in the bed. Even if you don't need it, this is an expensive setup that only adds value to the truck. The 6.4 Powerstroke diesel runs PERFECT. These 6.4s are probably the toughest design out there and can take the extra power with no reliability issues! Best of all this truck has been DPF deleted & tuned. What does that do for you? The 6.4 cleans it's DPF (soot filter) by dumping extra fuel into the engine to clean out the filter. This isn't good for the engine plus it kills the fuel economy. You pick up 5-7mpg right of the bat plus you can leave the power stock or pump up the already-strong 350hp to as much as 650!!! These 6.4s are probably the toughest design out there and can take the extra power with no reliability issues and without the engine dumping all that extra fuel down the exhaust you can easily pull 20-22mpg if you can manage to keep your foot off the throttle! There's an automatic dimming rearview mirror with built-in backup camera as well as rear seats that fold up to give you extra carrying ability. It has HEATED leather memory seats as well as power folding/telescoping side mirrors. An overhead console features a compartment for your sunglasses and another for general storage. Upfitter switches are present in case you want to add extra lights, horns, etc. plus it has the Tow Command integrated trailer brake controller. Both front seats have no rips or tears either. They hardly even show any wear. Best of all, it's powered by the 6.4 POWERSTROKE DIESEL and not the 6.0 that everyone is scared of (even though we aren't). These 6.4s are probably the toughest design out there and can take lots of extra power with no reliability issues. There's a cold air intake under the hood plus the radiator/thermostat recall has already been done on this truck so that's around $1500 you won't have to worry about spending. With only 169k miles, it's barely broken-in! It's a Southern truck so there are absolutely NO RUST HOLES OR RUST BUBBLES. We've had our mechanic go over this truck top to bottom so we wouldn't hesitate to get in this truck and drive it anywhere! Feel free to fly in and drive it home no matter where that may be. Best of all, we need to free up the money so we're selling this truck with a LOW RESERVE so the high bidder will likely own it even if the final bid is THOUSANDS BELOW the book value!!! 2009 Ford F-250 Super Duty Road Test(basically the same as our '08) Introduction A 1500-series pickup truck is usually more than adequate for the average person's needs. These trucks (traditionally known as the "half-ton") will easily handle hauling goods from the home improvement store, moving a kid to college and hitching up recreational stuff like motorcycles. For these folks' purposes, employing a heavy-duty pickup would be akin to using a hammer to set thumbtacks into the kitchen's corkboard. But equestrians, owners of big boats and those who pull trailers larger than their time-share condos do need a hammer -- a big one. And for them, the 2009 Ford F-250 Super Duty makes perfect sense. The available PowerStroke turbodiesel engine makes serious pulling power -- we're talking 650 pound-feet of torque -- which allows the F-250 Super Duty to tow up to 12,500 pounds when properly equipped. With its impressive work capacity, well-rounded ride and handling qualities and large array of convenience and luxury features, the 2009 Ford F-250 Super Duty is bound to offer big-truck consumers the right tool for the most demanding jobs. Body Styles, Trim Levels, and Options The 2009 Ford F-250 Super Duty pickup comes in regular cab, SuperCab (extended cab) and crew cab body styles. The SuperCab has a pair of small rear-opening rear doors, while the crew cab has four conventional full-size doors. SuperCabs and crew cabs are available with a short (6.75-foot) or long (8-foot) bed; regular cabs are long bed only. Four trim levels are offered: base XL, midlevel XLT, off-road-oriented FX4 (4WD only) and luxurious Lariat. Regular cabs are available only in XL and XLT forms. The XL is meant for those who just need a basic work truck. It comes standard with air-conditioning, plain vinyl upholstery, an AM/FM radio, 17-inch wheels and manual trailer-tow mirrors. The XLT adds chrome wheels, keyless entry, power and heated trailer tow mirrors, an integrated trailer brake controller, privacy glass, cloth upholstery, an auxiliary audio jack, a 40/20/40 front bench, a CD player, cruise control and full power accessories. The FX4 provides upgraded off-road hardware including skid plates, heavy-duty shock absorbers, a limited-slip rear axle and a manual-shift transfer case. It also adds front bucket seats, a power driver seat, power telescoping and folding mirrors and satellite radio. High-line Lariats come with luxuries like 18-inch alloy wheels, running boards, a power-sliding rear window, leather upholstery, dual power and heated front seats (power driver seat only on regular cab), the Sync multimedia voice-control system and dual-zone automatic climate control. Much of the Lariat's extra equipment can be added to the FX4 via optional packages. Option highlights (depending on trim level) include reverse park assist, a rearview-mirror-mounted back-up camera display, a sunroof, a navigation system and a rear-seat entertainment system. In addition, there are several packages to further fine-tune the F-250 Super Duty to one's needs. The XLT sport package includes color-matched bumpers and grille, foglamps, chrome step bars and privacy glass. The new Cabela's package is inspired by the largest outfitter for outdoor enthusiasts and features unique two-tone color and interior trim schemes. The King Ranch package similarly provides two-tone paint but goes further uptown with 20-inch alloy wheels, fancy leather seating and trim inspired by a western saddle, and a premium audio system. There's also the Harley-Davidson package with a similar level of interior and exterior upgrades. Highly recommended for those who tow is the TowCommand option, which seamlessly integrates the control of the trailer brakes with those on the truck. Optional on all F-250 Super Duty trims is a clever flip-down tailgate step that hides within the tailgate when stowed. Powertrains and Performance There are three engine choices for the 2009 Ford F-250 Super Duty: the standard 5.4-liter gasoline V8 (300 horsepower and 365 lb-ft of torque); an optional 6.8-liter V10 (362 hp); and the most popular choice, the available 6.4-liter PowerStroke turbodiesel V8, which makes 350 hp. Regardless of engine choice, buyers have a choice of transmission: a six-speed manual or a five-speed automatic and either two- or four-wheel drive. Properly equipped, an F-250 Super Duty can tow up to 12,500 pounds and handle a 3,200-pound payload as rated by Ford. In the real world, they will pull much more than that. Safety Antilock disc brakes are standard, but neither side- nor side curtain airbags are available. Power-adjustable pedals are optional on XLT and Lariat models (equipped with the automatic transmission), as are rear parking sensors. Interior Design and Special Features A rugged, industrial theme marks the cabin, and materials quality is good. Chrome accents surround the gauges and air vents, while the center stack puts controls within easy reach. Dual door pockets and a massive center console/armrest provide generous in-cabin storage -- in fact, the center console box is big enough to accommodate a laptop and/or hanging files.
