NO SAAB STORIES HERE!! This is my parents personal vehicle so I can vouch for nearly anything and everything over the last few years of owning the vehicle. This is NOT a Dealer sale. Clean clear title in hand, Private sale. They are selling because I upgraded them to a newer vehicle. This is an ABSOLUTE SALE! NO RESERVE!! Altho this car hasn't been used much outside personal days with the top down, it has been super reliable even with Saab's less than stellar recent history. I blame GM's takeover personally since older Saab's were virtually bulletproof! Good thing at least is the car is still under the GM flag for dealer servicing and recalls. Right up front, the car suffered from the random "Steering Lock Malfunction" which from my research, was attributed to a failing battery and a worn ignition switch. The recent battery change cut down on the notifications. I then removed the switch for a teardown, cleaning and reinstallation. The main culprit seems to be the typical poor location of the switch....think coffee spills. So far so good. No returning light. I would suggest ordering a new switch for future replacement, NOT from the dealer, of course! It's pretty easy to replace and well worth the next 100k miles. Other than that, I can't offer any other negative info on this car!!Let's talk about the positives...notice the nearly new General Tires at every corner! There is a receipt included in the glovebox for any future warranty issues. I think it shows about 2000 miles on the tires provided the shop logged the mileage correctly. All tires ride on clean vibration free rims. Unseen are the smooth pulse free brakes. At least 75+% life left with no grinding or noises. Effortless stopping power. ABS works flawlessly as well...if you need it of course. Front bumper cover looks nice. No major cracks, damages or signs of repairs. Typical minor rockchips. Right front corner has a light paint scrape with a cracked signal lens. Headlights are nice a clear with only the driver's side showing minimal dullness around the edges. I believe the lights are the HID versions but don't quote me. Also note the driving lights work perfectly. Hood and body panels are super duper straight with MAYBE a few dings. Zero dents or visible rust. It has always been garaged here and never driven in the winter under my parent's watch. Minimal typical scratches which are pointed out below in pics. I am no bodyman but I can't see any signs of a former major accident or repaint. AutoCheck should be available to see in this ad showing no accident report. Above is a shot of the few scratches. Find the correct color touchup paint and these go away. Below You can see the scratch in the lower right portion of the rear bumper cover. Escaped shopping cart perhaps? Note the rear backup sensors...great safety feature. Interior is a near perfect 9.5 out of 10. Front seats look new. Couple light scratches in the leather in the rear. No holes or damages otherwise. Carpet is clean enough to eat off of. Steering wheel, buttons and controls have no noticeable wear to point out. Woodgrain is stellar. Power features works as they should: AM/FM/NAV/6-Disc in-dash changer, ICE COLD AIR CONDITIONING, Hot Heat, power windows, locks, cruise, seats, trunk, steering wheel controls, compass auto dim rearview with HomeLink, etc. The car has Navigation but they never had the disc for the trunk. You can see it loads up on the screen below. Note the "Check OK" on the dash during startup with no dummy lights staying on during run. I HATE smoke and can't see or smell ANY signs of a former smoker. Typical Saab fashion...the goofy designed cupholder is broken. Piece is in the armrest should you decide to fix. No dead pixels or unreadable screens. Factory floormats look awesome. No overly worn areas to point out. Complete spare setup is intacct ready for your roadtrip. Nav player is ready for your CD once you find it. Usually $20 used on ebay. Above you can see ALL of the factory manuals are included with the tire receipt I mentioned. Altho there is only one working keyless fob in the picture, there are 2 (TWO) total included with this purchase. Below you can see the spotless engine compartment. Notice the upper strut mounts...they are black. The originals are aluminum. For whatever reason, a coil spring broke. Yours truly personally replaced BOTH front coil springs, BOTH upper mounts with bearing plates, BOTH stabilizer links. It is non-adjustable so no alignment is needed. The car drives ridiculously straight over any pavements with no pulling or wandering. Suspension is tight and noise free. Engine fires right up with it's strong battery. Turbo spools up powerfully. Transmission shifts thru every gear as it should. Under the car, it is dry with no major oil or coolant leaks to be found. No spots on my shop floor after a week on the lift while I repaired it. No overheating. No engine noises and Saab wasn't known for quiet engines! No ticking. No knocking. No problems. Obviously the top operates up AND down flawlessly. Below I have provided shots of the top pumps to show that they aren't leaking or dripping in any way. No laziness or dragging in operation. Opens and closes. Done. As you can see, the top is in excellent 64k mile condition aside the obvious fold marks. No rips, tears, cuts or patches. Rear glass is nice and clear. No musty smells or signs of leaks. No issues.
