1955 R50 VIN# 552577 This 1955 R50 was the very first year for the R50 twin. Some parts were particular to that model like the dished head light bucket, rounded shock towers, small head light ears, black faced speedometer, un-braced front fender, Weinmann aluminum rims and the single cross spoke pattern. This R50 has all of these and more. This R50 has undergone a total restoration. The frame has been zinc primed and powder coated, the polishing and chrome work along with the single cross wheels have been professionally polished. Single stage Avus Black paint will help with the originality of the project. Crank and camshafts have been totally rebuilt to factory specifications by Chris Chambers. New bearings have been purchased for the engine, transmission and final drive, all of which has been totally rebuilt. A new main wiring harness, new switches and switching harnesses for hi/lo headlight and turn signals have accompanied a pair Hella bar end signals. This restoration is complete and READY FOR THE ROAD, OR YOUR LIVING ROOM.
