Vehicle Detail

This Bonneville from 1967 is offered in Aubergine over Alaskan White. Motor number matches the frame. It was subject to a comprehensive ground-up restoration, with attention to an overhaul of the engine, gearbox, suspension, wheels, wiring harness, electric, and chrome. Clear title in my name. Fully restored in Tucson, Arizona in 2004. Now located in Livonia, Michigan. Fuel tank painted by "Britt bike Mike", also sealed internally and the neck was re-silver soldered to prevent leaks. Small area of the left hand side rear of the tank has some clear that came off when the pet cock was installed....than re-cleared....hard to see, but it is their....see photo of a pencil pointing at it. New Die Hard battery last month, oil just changed when pulled out of the family room where it has been on display for the last 12 years. Has the Boyer electronic ignition. New copper core spark plug wires, new plugs. Starts right up when the carb's are "tickled", Idles very nice and runs GREAT! The carburetors where replaced when restored, and the original carbs come with the bike, and a tub full of parts and manuals. The wheels are perfect with stainless steel spokes and period correct tires. The petcocks, and fuel lines are new. Less than 100 miles since the restoration. Just drove it again today....hate to sell it. I do have the factory tool kit that is included. The seat has the gray top, like the Bonnevilles that came in the west side of the country in 1967. Email with any question, or call with in reasonable hours 734-261-9254. By the late 1960's the Triumph Bonneville was recognized as one of the best looking British motorcycles ever made, and had become a cultural icon in America. Writer Peter Egan may have put it best in a tribute to his 1967 Bonneville published in Cycle World magazine in 1980. "It provoked a bad case of 'XKE Syndrome'......impossible to park and walk away from with out looking back over your shoulder". If you are new to eBay, than you may not be aware that your bid means you are buying what you are bidding on. If you have zero feedbacks you must contact me to let me know that you are serious about completing the sale. Please, please do not bid unless you really want it. The auction costs time and money. A $200.00 deposit is due at the auctions end via PAY PAL. PAY PAL is O.K. for the deposit, but not the final payment. I will assist with shipping, but you must make the arrangements and pay for shipping. I can not crate it. If you are picking it up cash is the only way to pay for it. Checks are O.K., but they must clear the bank before the bike departs. Personal checks take up to 2 weeks to clear. The bike is located in Livonia, Michigan between Detroit and Ann Arbor
