1990 Porsche 911 Carrera 2 Cabriolet 964 Series Air Cooled 3.6 liter 5 Speed manual G50 transmission We purchased this car locally from a long time PCA member. This car has been garage stored and has had recent services done. It appears to be all original paint except maybe the front bonnet. It is the original hood with factory option tag. It paint meters from 5.5-6.5. The interior is all correct and not missing anything. The Dash and leather seats are in great condition. All the gauges work and read properly. The car had been sitting for some time prior to us getting this 964. We changed the oil, replaced the lower valve cover gaskets, changed all 12 spark plugs, and had the distributor rebuilt by Rothsport. The Distributors are different on these 911’s, they have a second rotor driven by a belt that had to be replaced, along with the bearings in it. We also replaced the plastic air diverter on the top of the fan shroud. It starts right up and runs very smooth. The transmission shifts smooth through all the gears as well. It comes with a complete Tool kit and Roll, Original Spare Tire Air Compressor, Jack, Spare Tire, Two keys with lock key, and all original Books and Manuals. Also, the soft top cover is included. The tires are in great condition and are on factory alloys. The power top works, needs right side lock released manually. But the top is in good condition with no tears. The known issues with the car that need addressing are as follows: Right front top release motor not working (works manually), climate control is not working, drivers front seat switch for up-down is bad (motor good), ABS light is on the dash, crack in the center rear deflector. There are oil leaks, and although they do not seem too bad, remember that all 964’s are notorious for leaking a bit of oil every now and again. This is very stock and original car that is complete. It will need a few items that were listed addressed, but un-molested cars like this are very hard to find. You could drive this car as is, and fix these items as needed if you choose to.
