This is a 1981 Jeep CJ5 with a 4 cylinder GM, Iron Duke motor. The engine starts up and runs ok, but does smoke some. I have mainly used this around the house and haven't been on the road with it so I would suggest you trailer it home and not drive it until you go through and check the drivetrain thoroughly in order to make it roadworthy. This was a prior Army Corps of Engineers vehicle and shows low mileage, but I have no way to confirm it's accuracy. The Jeep does have some rust through where the roll bar is attached to the body beside the driver and passenger seat. Otherwise, the Jeep is solid. The seats are not factory and have been replaced at some point. There are some dings and dents which can be expected of a 35 year old Jeep. The tires have dryrot and would need replacing to be roadworthy, however they do currently hold air. The tailgate has some bent places which can be seen in the pictures. This would make a good base for a restoration or engine swap. Please email with any questions. Thanks
