This listing is for a 1979 Suzuki GS 1000 S Wes Cooley replica motorcycle. These bikes have become extremely rare and hard to find. S models were only produced for 2 years having a very low production of roughly 600 each year. This bike is a project bike. IT DOES NOT RUN AT PRESENT TIME! I purchased this bike several years ago with intentions of restoring. It has always been stored in heated garage with gas tank empty. Bike was repainted prior to my purchase to mimic the Red European version. Overall paint job is good 7/10. Bike has approx. 9000 miles on speedometer and I believe to be correct. Bike is complete with the exceptions of missing mirrors and turn signals. Header and Air pods have been added at some point. Tank is VERY clean and NO dents. Front fender has a couple creases. Rear tire is Great and front tire has good tread with cracking. I believe there are issues with the Electrical system. Put a battery in and red and green light comes on by ignition, but nothing up front works. If you hit the rear brakes the rear light comes on. I was told upon my purchase that the bike did run at the point prior to paint job. My best guess is something was screwed up reconnecting the front wiring. That is about all I know for certain. This would make a great rare bike for someone who is not afraid of a challenge. I have owned several Wes Cooleys of various conditions in the past and know very well their value's. I am asking what I believe to be a fair market value price. I am willing to listen to reasonable offers!! PLEASE don't waste my time with ridiculous low ball offers.
