This Trans Am spent its life in the south. It has never seen a harsh winter where salt was used, therefore … NO Rust or pits. The sheet metal was very nice prior to its full restoration. A thumb drive comes with the sale showing the restoration process.The restoration consisted of completely stripping down car to a bare shell. It was put on a rotisserie. Then all the undercarriage components were removed. It was then stripped to bare metal. Red oxide was applied to the undercarriage to replicate what the factory did. To complete the undercarriage, new parts were installed. These parts consist of: gas tank, fuel lines, brake lines, emergency brake lines, shocks, leaf springs, bushings, brakes, and the exhaust system. The rear end and transmission have been rebuilt.The front sub frame was stripped and painted. The front suspension from brake rotor to brake rotor has been replaced with new parts. This includes the rotors, pads, calipers, brake lines, shocks, new springs, upper and lower ball joints, all bushings and suspension components. Everything under the car is basically new.The engine bay has been detailed as well. New components consist of: brake booster, master cylinder, brake lines, proportioning valves, valve covers, AC hard and soft lines, AC compressor and clutch, miscellaneous AC components, radiator, radiator cap, hoses, correct tower clamps, clutch fan, overflow jugs, wire harness, alternator, belts, air cleaner hose, air cleaner ducts, air cleaner bracket, and power steering pump.The engine is the optional most desirable W72 TA 6.6. It is numbers matching to the car. It has been rebuilt from the carburetor to the oil pan. All the factory emissions are intact as well. It was rebuilt to stock factory specifications.The optional Deluxe Interior has received: new seat foams, seat covers front and rear, door panels, door panel gold SE bird medallions, door lock pulls, door seals, door handles, door weather strip on top, headliner, T-Top seals, dome light and cover, visors, AC vents and trim, arm rest door pulls, rear package tray, carpet, pedal pads, GM floor mats to top it all off. The Special Edition "engine turned" gold dash bezel was restored as well. All the glass was replaced with new glass. The AC blows nice and COLD. All the gauges work as they should even the clock. The factory radio functions too. The trunk has the proper jack tools, inflatable spare, inflator bottle, Hurst T-Top bag. Also take note of the new side marker lights and wiring. The truck is complete with the factory correct splatter spray and proper decals on the underside of the rear deck lid. This car has a power trunk and it works too. The car was painted in its Starlight Black in Base Coat Clear Coat. All correct Special Edition stripping was applied. New grills were installed too. The 8 inch Snowflakes are perfect wrapped with new BF Goodrich Radial TAs. In closing, this Special Edition was not some "rot box" before its restoration. Its been professionally restored to be a show car or an awesome driver. It takes years and countless $$$ to do a restoration like this one has received. This one is a complete turn-key done car. After its complete assembly it has been driven about 120 miles to sort everything out. Its ready to go to the next owner to enjoy it!
