My less than stellar camera does NOT do this Lunar Gold Metallic XC90 justice!! This rare factory paint offering is out of this world!! See what I did there...twice?!? I swear on my excellent feedbacks that this exterior color is NOT the typical tan/champagne boring color. During this tree shade shoot, the color was a beautiful Gold. In the super bright sunlight, you can get a tinted Silver with a hint of light green and under gray overcast the paint explodes with a cool green hue!!! Even better is I can't find ANY signs of a former accident and definitely no repaints!! The body panels and paint match everywhere. Even the 2 owner AutoCheck (see in above main pics) shows zero accidents. The exterior is easily an 8+ out of 10. Zero rust to be found. No major dents. Literally a handful of SCRATCHES to point out and I really couldn't find any more than a few dings! Vinyl bumper covers and trim looks amazing with no fading or dryness. The front area has minimal rockchips or biffs. Seriously.....a vehicle half it's age could display such beauty! Tires are all matching Bridgestones that sport easily 80+% treadlife. Rims are nearly flawless. No major damages. No soccer mom curb rash. Zero vibrations at any speeds. Unseen are the recently replaced front brakes and rotors. Left rear has a newer caliper with pads at 75%. Unseen are the freshly installed wheel hub bearings by your's truly. After about 100 miles of driving to ensure the XC's reliability, it was easy to hear the light bearing howl at about 60mph. I chased the left side first, but after a test drive, it turns out the right rear is the culprit. I am installing the right rear one as you read this. So....NEW REAR HUB BEARINGS! No cost or charge to you! As you can see, all the exterior illumination works properly. Hard to see or point out with my camera, but the hood displays most of the light scratches on the entire vehicle. Roof looks excellent! Aside a few typical rockchips....amazing! Super straight body panels. Don't be concerned about the rear trailer hitch!! Perfect addition to the vehicle and your needs. Also take note....altho I don't know when or from where, the transmission has been rebuilt. Evidence/experience shows the stereotypical orange gasket sealer ooze from the seams! Plus the transmission has spotless fluid and operates perfectly where it typically would have a bit of darker clutch material floating around after 120+k. $1000s saved from your pocket. Perfect working order. No worries! Above you can see there was some sort of taillight biff prior. Upon my searches....the warranty book shows an expensive taillight replacement from Volvo!! The tiny ding is a side effect...just leave it!! Below you can see the tiny tear in the vinyl surrounds. It's simply an eyesore....not worth replacing. Below that....the largest nicked area on the passenger right rear door... on the entire truck!! Minor handful of chips...but there. Headlight lenses are damage free with minimal faded spots. Does NOT affect night time visibility at all. Final tiny nick at the tow hook cover on the vinyl below. You probably didn't even notice it. Engine compartment: Spectacular. Spotless. Clean. No oil or grease buildup. Remove the under belly-pan and it's dry as a bone. Oil is clean as it comes from a bottle. No signs of ANY major oil or coolant leaks. Engine fires right up with the recent strong battery. No engine noises or knocks quietly compliment the strong smooth turbo that spools right up and pulls to redline. Upon my standard list of inspections I found the timing belt, water pump and tensioner were recently replaced. Sadly, I also noticed the timing belt didn't have any markings and had a weird edge slice on it....it made me nervous since it could slowly start to shred. Since I have performed timing belt replacements plenty of times, I happily installed a new one (see pic above in main pics up top). NO COST OR CHARGE TO YOU!! Officially you will NOT need to replace ANY of these components until around 210k miles!! Again...part of my personal service to you....I want you to have a vehicle that needs minimal or ZERO servicing! Suspension is tight with no noises or issues. This one drives straight and smooth over any pavements with no unusual pulling or wandering. Below you can see how clean the transmission area is...further backing up the rebuilt status. Sorry about the water drips from washing off the vehicle...it dripped from the grill when I opened the hood. Interior is a ridiculous 9 out of 10!! I HATE smoke and can't see or smell ANY signs of a former smoker. In fact, open the door and take a whiff....you will ONLY smell factory Volvo leather scent!! No fast food greezy stench. No waxy crayon leftovers or stale fries buried in the slots. No funky dog hairballs. Just pleasant factory issued leather! Driver's bolster is barely worn...if at all. Steering wheel, shift knob and buttons are unworn. ALL the power items work as they should: power sunroof, power windows, locks, heated power front seating, cruise, HomeLink, steering wheel controls, dual climate control, Hot Heat, ICE COLD AIR CONDITIONING, Rear passenger fan control, AM/FM/CD Player with rear passenger independent controls, digital info panel, etc! Above you can see the lack of worn areas on the driver's bolster. Upon startup there are NO dummy lights illuminated with none staying on during run. The info panel displayed ONE caution: Anti-Skid Needs Service. I suspect the rear bearing howl as the culprit for an odd sensor altho after cleaning the left rear ABS sensor, the warning stayed on. I will clean the right rear one upon new hub bearing installation and hopefully it will clear this warning. Not the end of the world since this is a common warning for the XC series. Just know that it may still display after replacement of the bearing. It doesn't mean the ABS doesn't work, tho. Otherwise NO WORRIES!! Note the 236 in the Tripometer area...this is how many miles I have personally logged onto the vehicle. Dashboard is beautiful. Center channel is a Volvo standard. Rear seating doesn't have the typical child seat dimples stretched out in the leather. Below, note the personal headphone passenger controls and fan control for climate settings. 3rd row seating looks never sat in! All factory issued floormats are included with minimal wear. License plate frames and hardware are ready to bolt on to suit your state's requirements. You can see the largest small stain in the right rear carpet area of the cargo area below. Above, aside the rear stain in the side carpet panel, the ONLY other noticeable interior blemish seems to be the weird dent in the vinyl panel below. Again, you probably didn't notice it but I did. Yet...it's not split or torn. Note the center seating converts into a legal child safety booster so you won't need to haul around an aftermarket booster. Carpeting looks great as the rest of the interior too! No noticeable leather damages. No holes. No tears or cuts...and on a light tan interior...that's hard to come by! Below is the surprise inside the Cracker Jack Box!! The compliment of factory issued manuals with one regular key and one working keyless key/fob. Note the Service book STUFFED with dates and mileage of repairs and maintenance!!! Add that to my recent brake, bearing and timing belt work>>>Priceless.
