Up for auction at no reserve is this 55 Thunderbird convertible. Miles at listing are 7,109 which exceeds the odometers mechanical limits. This car has been stored for several decades in the back of a local welding shop. The welding shop owner traded it in on a hot rod we had which is how we acquired it. We put in a new $300 carburetor kit, new fuel pump and new battery along with fresh gas and it fired right up. We even drove it back to our car lot. We were surprised to find the radio worked great and so did the factory tach. It has it's original factory 292 Y Block V8, automatic which seams to shift fine. It has the engine dress up kit, a tonaue cover, soft top,4 way power seat, fender skirts and wide whites with full disc hubcaps and a box with miscellaneous spare parts. With that being said from a visual inspection, the car needs restored, older repaint, some floor pan rust around body mounts and inner rockers although nothing showing from the outside. Original drivers seat is torn and the raggedy old top has a tear and needs to be replaced. Bumpers need rechromed, tires are very old but hold air, they are black round and made out of rubber and that's it. This car is a great canvas for a rat rodder or a restoration project. The look of the 55 T Birds are timeless and this one is all there and has been unseen for years. Please view pictures as they are a large part of the description.
