I am selling my 1976 VW Super Beetle Convertible. It's a very solid driver with older repaint. This car has recently passed NY Sate Inspection, runs, drives and stops very well. Blinkers, lights, horn, wipers are all working, thus ready to drive. The convertible top in very good shape, no tears or rips. The rear window trim missing and the interior top lining is showing some age. The interior is complete and in very nice shape. The windows operate as they should. The odometer stopped working six years ago, but it has only had recreational driving in those six years. While this is a very nice 40 year old VW and gets thumbs up and puts smiles on everyone's face, she definitely has some faults. Which include but are not limited to the passenger side fender paint is bubbling to gas leak (see photo). The bumpers have some surface rust, radio stopped working this summer, the sun visors are puffy and it has a couple floor pan holes which have been around for many years but don't hinder any fun. The rims and hub caps have been spray painted silver and I'm sure some other quirky things have been done that are expected with a vehicle of this age. I am listing this fun ride as we put her away for winter. I priced this VW to sell as I have 3 college tuitions due soon so one more toy has got to go. (Don't get me started about my fastback mustang ...the wound is too fresh) If she doesnt sell I will list her in the spring. Sun and warmth come out, top goes down, and the price goes up
