You are bidding on a ONE owner 1967 Mercury Cougar. The Cougar was purchased new in Dallas, Texas on July 26, 1967. The original owner just died at the age of 91 and the family called to see if I was interested in purchasing the car. After seeing the condition and driving the car I said yes. This car has been meticulously taken care of over the 48 years by the original owner. It's definitely a quality driver that can be driven anywhere in the country. This Cougar has not been molested in any way, I just had the car serviced with a major tune-up, new spark plugs, changed all fluids, new brake job, A/C checked and serviced, everything works perfectly. This Cougar was born with the 289 V-8 mated with the C-4 automatic transmission, shifts smoothly like it should.  Factory A/C, front Disc brakes, Functional hidden headlights, sequential tail-lights, all work great.  The exterior color is Jamaican Yellow, with Black Vinyl top, the body is in exceptional condition, very straight and solid. The interior has all the luxury items that a Mercury came with, full padded dash, Black crinkle vinyl seats, sporty European cockpit, AM radio, seat belts, rare front bench seat with arm rest  (See Photos). Everything works properly, lights, blinkers, gauges, horn, windshield wipers, radio with electric antenna, interior lights. The undercarriage is solid, floor pans are in excellent shape, has no rust or holes anywhere,  the paint on the car has its usual blemishes and scratches for its age, the front seat has a tear from normal wear. The most important thing is that the car has alway been maintained through out its entire life. Like most Cougars this car is very quiet and has a beautiful ride down the highway.
