1976 Volkswagen Westfalia Campmobile Bus Runs and Drives! but needs some TLC Bought this bus for a summer project from its second owner in Winnemucca NV. It had been in a barn for over 20 years. I brought it home and got to work. I have already restored one bus and thought this would be fun. I bought a vintage motorcycle and this went to the side while I rebuilt the bike. I need some garage space... I removed the motor and did the following: - replaced all fuel and fuel vapor lines - all vacuum lines - distributor - points - Sparkplugs / Wires - oem Bosch fuel injectors - fresh oil Reinstalled and got it to fire up after 20 years! In my opinion it needs the following for it to be perfect: - needs AFM replaced to improve idling consistentcy - needs fuel injection tuned by vintage VW specialist The other items that have been completed: - complete brake overhaul - installed new tent! - installed new bearings in the sliding door Other features: - all electrical works down to the cool old radio - sink works - all windows are clean and operable with no cracks - exterior is rust free, but was poorly repainted in the 90's - has a few dents and body issues, nothing major - seats and upholstery are in good original VW condition - beds are in good condition - cabinets need to be reveneered - Westfalia interior is complete down to the mirror on the closet door - title in hand I have all service records dating back to the 70's. I also have ALL the original manuals. The motor was rebuilt in the early 90's in the bay. This bus will also be listed on Craigslist as well as thesamba. I reserve the right to end the auction at anytime. A $500 deposit is due within 24 hours of the end of the auction and the full amount within 7 day The winning bidder is responsible for pickup and shipping While it does run and drive, I suggest using a trailer to get it to its new home.
