1967 Volvo 122S Wagon Oregon car from new Great daily driver No Reserve Auction Up for bids here on eBay at No Reserve is this hard to find Volvo wagon. The car was bought new in a small town in southern Oregon on January 28th, 1968. It was sold to its 2nd owner in Eugene Oregon in 2005 and came to Portland with its 3rd owner in 2012. Although titled as a 1968, it's actually a 1967 model. Clean and straight, this wagon is great on the road, a nice example of Volvo's venerable Amazon series. This was a glass-out, trim-off job, and all weatherstripping was removed and replaced. The paint is to driver quality standards, definitely not show quality but good for a car that you can actually get out there and drive regularly. Color sanding could help bring the paint up a level, otherwise, just use and enjoy. Grills are straight and undamaged. Bumpers are original and unrestored, they show some minor scuffs and dings. Lights and lenses are all in good shape. All of the glass is in good condition, the windshield is a Volvo branded Pilkington replacement. The windshield surround shows some wear, the rest of the car's anodized trim is in good shape. Original seats have some light wear but overall are hanging in there pretty well after 48 years. Clean back seat and rear cargo area. All new weatherstripping throughout the car, every piece. All instrumentation works correctly, as well as the lights, signals, horn, wipers, etc. Heater and fan work great and will singe your socks in typical Swedish style. The iconic Volvo seat belts are original and latch securely. The entire wiring harness has been replaced and utilizes a modern fuse block. Underdash area has been soundproofed and has a new firewall pad as well. Headliner is new but could use a little more stretching to be perfect. Windows all wind smoothly, all locks work. Sill plates are in great shape, windlacing is all new. The B20 motor starts readily and runs very well with no smoke. A fuelie F code head has been added, as well as a Weber carb. The brake and clutch master cylinders have recently been replaced. The car runs strongly and rides down the road with a nice feel. Good tight suspension and steering response, braking power is good and the transmission shifts smoothly. The car comes with its original owners manual plus a folder of service records. Recent work includes an alignment, new suspension components, valve grind and installation of hardened seats, plus a new radiator.
