Vehicle Detail
HI!! My FAVORITE year of the first generation C70! Deep blue, blue top, gray interior!! Also the 2000 year was the LAST year of the reliable 4 speed auto transmission before the "issue" prone 5 speed version introduced in 2001. This one is a beautiful major import new car store trade-in. Clean clear title and paperwork in hand ready to go! This car is beautiful from every direction. STILL to be considered a 10 footer tho, as it has many touched up scratches, chips and nicks. All hard to see until you get up on them. The touchup paint was a hair darker than the factory color but it still looks amazing for its age!! The front bumper cover is nice aside the touchups with no cracks, holes or damages to the plastic. As you can see, all of the lighting works properly including the C70 only driving lights(the nose is different on the sedans). This was somebody's baby, cared for, yet driven as it should be! Front matching tires look recently new. Rears are mismatched but also appear newer than the fronts. ALL ride on super clean undamaged vibration free C70 only rims. I added a nice touch by installing the newer 05-up Volvo center caps. Simple changes that make this car different from others. Paint shine is gorgeous!! Hood reflects like a mirror as does the rest of the car. Top looks great as well with no damages or cuts. Only a few teeny tiny spots from typical age related wear but not holes and not leaking. They feel like they have been sealed to prevent further wear. Above you can see what I feel is the worst of the chipped areas that were touched up....looks as if the seatbelt got away from it's stored location...and popped the door shut on it a few times. Again...only noticable when you get on top of it like I am in this pic...and I had to get the angle right to show you. Rear bumper cover is nice too. Minimal touched up chips. A longer scratch is touched up. Trunklid is a mirror! Rear glass is perfect. There is no visible rust to be found on the car altho I did find what looks to be a small silver dollar sized repair on the right front lower fender corner. Again...the darker paint was how I saw it but impossible to catch at a proper light angle to show in a picture. I'm no bodyman but I can't see any signs of major body repairs or repaints...which for a 2000 model is golden. Thie interior is an easy 8 out of 10 only deducting from the age related typical leather cracking and wear. Driver's bolster wear is minimal. Steering wheel looks great. A few tiny punctures in the vinyl trim, mostly in the rear. No damages or cracks to the dash. Woodgrain trim package looks great. Inside top and carpet look great. I have driven the car for about a week to ensure it's reliability. ALL the power items seem to work as they should: windows, 3disc in-dash AM/FM/Tape/CD player with center channel, locks, top (operates up and down but had a stall spot that when nudged it continued properly), hot heat, ICE COLD AC, power seating (rear access latches work properly as well), transmission modes, etc. Above you can see ALL the dummy lights illuminate as they should upon startup with NONE staying on during run (gas light doesn't count!), cruise, info panel, etc. No worries. Plenty of room in the truck. Unseen is the spare setup ready for your roadtrip home. Note the perfect center console cupholder! Usually broken by now. Only one key. Sorry, no manuals or keyfobs. My favorite portion of my pics next to the exterior...the engine compartment. The heart of any reliable car. Open the hood and eat off the compartment. Pic a spot. Not all greased up to cover up. Altho I'm not sure of it's specific history, you can clearly see servicing. Recent and STRONG Volvo battery fires the engine right up(Volvo battery implies dealer servicing). Engine runs smoothly and quietly. Note the timing belt was replaced less than 2k miles ago. I inspected it also...brand new!! The cabin filter is new as well! Spark plugs are perfect. Turbo spools properly and pulls strongly. Transmission shifts as it should. No major oil or coolant leaks to be found. No spots on my shop floor after sitting for 3 days. No overheating. Brakes feel great with no grinding or noises and only a tiny rear rotor pulse. Suspension is tight with no noises or rattles but the car DOES have the typical convertible interior wiggle and shake over bumps and cracks in the road. Car drives straight with no unusual pulling or wandering. As stated the top works with only the little stall when the rear cover tries to close. The car needs nothing. Ready to take anywhere, as ALL my cars are! I recently took my mother's personal 2001 C70 with 185k and the clunky 5speed transmission all the way to Florida and back to Illinois. Trans never got worse in the car. Never left me stranded. Loaded down with luggage, etc. STILL got 29.7 MPG along the way!! She took it to Tennessee and got 31 MPG!! No reason this car won't get the same. What a gorgeous look!! It's waiting for you!! Not sure why, but the ROPS plastic covers are removed altho I have one of the covers in the trunk. This does NOT affect it's function. Inspect my excellent feedbacks. BID, BUY, and DRIVE ANYWHERE with 100% CONFIDENCE!! Absolute sale! NO RESERVE!! GOOD LUCK!!
