Vehicle Detail

Rusty but Trusty!! Well....considering most Broncos are totally rotted out or in mint condition...this one falls smack in the middle. The rotted out ones are in the junkyard. The mint ones are made of unobtainium because some sellers are out of their minds asking what they are asking for em! This truck is easily restored if desired. I was actually keeping it to make a tailgate party machine from it. Roller the whole thing with flat black rough bedliner coating and do it up with Zombie logos. Call it the ZAAV: Zombie Appocalypse Assault Vehicle!! TOo many projects, not enough time. MY LOSS YOUR GAIN! I've had the truck for 3 years. Time to go to a new home for a better life! Oh...and NO RESERVE! ABSOLUTE SALE! HIGHEST BID WINS! Clean clear title and paperwork in hand. Obviously the biggest eyesores are the front and rear bumpers. There are so many F-150s in the yards, you can easily score a nice front and rear bumper for cheap!! Amazingly the rest of the body is decent and repairable. You can pickup a pair of front fenders off eBay but if you were to do what I was...a quick corner patch and the fenders are salvagable. Aside the clearcoat flaking, the hood is super straight with no rust. Hinges are strong and the hood opens and closes easily without that feeling of the hood folding in half. The roof is solid too with only a butt sized dent on the passenger side as if someone sat on it. Barely seen until you look for it. Obviously the rear top is faded but no damages are seen. Doesn't leak a drop either. Notice the tinted windows. Above is the larger rust patch on the left fender. Below is the dent and dings area. All fixable with minimal bodywork. Doors DO NOT hang or rub the fenders. Power mirrors are nice and still work properly. Pictures below but the drivers door has nearly zero exterior rust especially under the lip/seam area. Bronco doors are usually the first to rot. Unlike everyone else who tries to hide the bad, I show you all the blood n guts! Of course the quarters are gone, but guess what!?!? I have BRAND NEW patch panels to go with the truck! No rust before or after the wells. Tailgate has seen better days. The visible rusted areas are the ONLY areas. The right side looks fine. The mounts and hinges for the spare bracket are solid with no rusted thru areas. The gate is stiff because it's been sitting but that said, to open it means the window has to roll down which...IT DOES!! Rear window operates perfectly!! Tinted too. Note the proper trailer hitch and wiring harness. The rust on the front passenger fender is much more solid. Below is the dent in the roof. All tires are matching size and brand. Plenty noisey too. 31s I believe. No vibrations at highway speeds. Rims are super nice with minimal corrosion. 4wd WARN hubs operate perfectly. No hub or bearing noise or slop. Driver's door lip below. Interior is in excellent condition. Dirty as the day I got it. Minimal (but many) light stains. NO cloth seating rips or tears. NO CRACKS IN THE DASHBOARD!!! Door panels look great. Deep clean the carpet and its justlikenew2u!! Only surface rust in the body corner. Seating armrests are excellent. Steering wheel cover is nearly perfect. Center storage box looks great. ALL POWER ITEMS work properly: PUSHBUTTON 4x4 High and Low, cruise, windows, mirrors, lighting, power driver's seat, locks (passenger is finicky but the motor works), rear roll-down window, heat, ICE COLD AIR CONDITIONING (altho from sitting it will need a recharge, it worked previously), horn, overdrive switch, etc. Shots to show that there are NO dummy lights on during run and all come on during startup. "4WD" light works as well. All gauges work properly. Sorry, no radio but the truck is all wired up for a large system when you are ready to install. You can see the windshield is cracked all over. I hate smoke and can't see or smell any signs of a former smoker. Notice the excellent condition cloth. If this were an Eddie Bauer edition, the leather would be ripped to shreds!! You can see some of the carpet stains here in the rear. I do not have the top sill trim covers. No crawling around the back messing with the rear door panel to get it to work!! Brand new rear quarter patch panels! Note the brand new in box power steering line too! Explain below. Complete factory issued manual, one set of keys and one working keyless keyfob are included! Below you can see the surface rust underneath the passenger door but plenty solid for repair. Body corner is much much better on the passenger side. Shots of the underside. Typical surface rust all over. No noticable excess or holes, etc. Floors are solid. Amazingly only oil sweating to be seen in the front of the motor and front differential. Transmission is dry. No spots on my shop floor overnight. No coolant leaks. I put the Strong Interstate battery back in it from my charging shelf after sitting for about 8 months or more. Primed the key a few times for the fuel pressure to build. Bumped the starter a few times to build oil pressure. Fired right up!! Stale gas and all!! Transfer case and rear axle are dry too. As stated, the hood is clean and solid. Engine is complete and unmodified. Firewall and inner fenders are solid and unrusted. the 351 V8 is the ONE you want! Engine fires right up and runs smoothly. No noises...super quiet and boring, in fact. Exhaust is quiet. Transmission shifts as it should. 4wd operates properly. No overheating. No issues with the drivetrain. Now...the truck runs and drives but is NOT safe to be driven in it's current state. When I was using it for my driver, the power steering line broke. Then I parked it. Got the new line as you see it. Let it sit some more. then one day a year ago, I fired it up to pull it to replace the power steering line, put it in gear, and as I stepped on the brakes, the left front brakeline blew. No brakes. Of course I had to drive it around to shake it's legs anyway. Then I noiticed the speedo wasn't working and the second gear shift was lagging. Turns out something (most likely one of the many tall weeds I have on my property) caught the rear differential signal sensor wiring and pulled it apart. UHHHGG!!! So....rewire the rear sensor (which costs you time), the truck goes back to shifting perfectly again along with seeing your speed. Replace the broken brake line(about $20 worth of supplies) and steering line(which I'm giving you barnd new in the box), it's ready to put back on the road!! The truck fires right up and can easily be loaded onto a trailer, or in my case a tow dolly. Minimal work, maxium fun!! Oh...and remember...NO RESERVE says it's worth it!!
