Vehicle Detail
Don't BMWs look so at home in the snow?!? Sorry for the dark pics....all this white and it was so gloomy for days on end. Yay winter. I know, I know....high miles. Let me remind you...it's a BMW first of all. Second....and most important...high miles mean proper maintenance. Proper maintenance means longevity. ALL cars are supposed to last hundreds of thousands of miles with proper servicing. This car is a fine example. Ready for another 100k! This car seems to be a bit of an anomale. If you notice the driving light below on the driver's side, it's missing. The lens was broken and I ordered new replacements. Turns out the replacements weren't correct as this seems to have 325ix (AWD) bumper cover on it. It also appears to have the 325ix or 328i rims on it too. Add the HID lighting....it's pretty dang cool because you get the look without the pricetag! I'm no bodyman, but the car doesn't look to have any signs of major accidents but there is sign of repaint at least of a couple body panels. But it all matches and looks great especially consider it's age and mileage. The driving light assembly is in the trunk ready for a new lens. Matching Pirellis on every corner have plenty of treadlife left. The fronts a bit less than the rears since yours truly rotated them for the winter. Fronts are about 60% left and rears are about 75%. All ride on clean vibration and damage free rims aside a few chips etc. Unseen are the recently replaced brakes front and rear. The car stops NOW! Body is super straight. No dents. Only a handful of dings and minimal minor rust bubbles as shown below. There are a handful on the car. All a halfdollar in size or smaller. Unfortunately this is pretty typical of midwesterm high mile BMWs. Amazingly nothing under the trunk or barely under the doors. Most of it can be sanded and touched up easily if desired. I would just leave it and drive it! Front and rear bumper covers look awesome. No cracks, damages, cuts, or scrapes. Vinyl trim looks great. Note the factory VIN tag on the trunk..not taped off or painted over. Above and below are the largest of the bubbles. The other couple too small to view on camera. Again...these are untouched and could be improved if desired. The interior gets an easy 8 out of 10. Love the lighter gray. Remind me of the older 5 series cream leather color without the wear headache! Driver's bolster shows minimal typical wear. About the only noticable worn area is the center console pad. Leather looks great with only a few tiny stains mostly in the rear (former mom-mobile I believe). Steering wheel looks great. No cracks or damages in the dash board or surrounding trim panels, door panels, etc. Carpeting looks great, minimal stains. A professional detail would make this a 9 all day. I hate smoke and I can't see or smell any signs of a former smoker. As you can see above and below, ALL the dummy lights illuminate upon startup with only SPORADIC BRAKE/TRAC control light staying on. It was off when I got the car. Considering the new brakes, I'm 100% confident it's because of bad or loose sensor. After driving the car thru out the winter, I'm 100% sure the ABS works because I put it thru it's paces to activate it. It pulses as it should. All of the power items seem to be working as they should: power windows, locks, sunroof, mirrors, heated power seating, cruise, climate control, HOT heat (can't tell for sure about the AC since it was freezing out during this shoot-worst case needs a recharge), info panel, AM/FM/CD player, etc. Factory issued floormats are super nice and intact. Most of the tool kit is intact. Unseen is the complete full sized spare. All the factory manuals are included along with one factory working keyless entry keyfob. Onto the super clean engine compartment...NOT all greased up with shine. But nice and clean. Strong battery fires the engine right up and it runs perfectly. Transmission shifts as it should thru all gears. No signs of any major oil or coolant leaks. No spots on my shop floor after sitting inside for 3 days. No overheating. All fluids are clean. Suspension is tight. No rattles, pops or squeaks. Car drives straight with no unusual pulling or wandering. As stated, brakes are new with no grinding or pulsing. ALl exterior lighting works properly. Ready to go. Clean title and paperwork waiting for you. INSPECT my excellent feedbacks. BID, BUY, and DRIVE ANYWHERE with 100% CONFIDENCE!! NO RESERVE!!
