You are bidding on one 1961 Ford Falcon Futura 2-door Sports Sedan This is a numbers matching 36,000 actual miles Car. This is a Genuine Ford Falcon Futura with factory bucket seat interior. 170 C.I.D. 6-cylinder, 3-speed standard/manual Transmission. This is a black exterior with a red factory bucket seat / center console interior Car. VIN #1K17U182066. Data Plate information, Body 64A, Color A, Trim 85, Date 02E, Trans 1, Axle 5. Odometer reading is 36,187 actual unrestored miles. This Car has been in dry storage for 40+ years until the last year. This was a running, driving car when put away in the early 1970's. I had planned on restoring this car but I have decided to sell as is. This is a very solid car, but was involved in an accident early in its life and has been in storage pretty much ever since. This will be a beautiful car once restored, factory black exterior and factory red bucket seat interior. The original wheel covers are on the car. There are no rusted out area's on the car. Other than the damage repair this will be a nice car to restore. This Car will need to be totally restored and repaired where damaged from accident. The accident damage is in the -A- pillar area (see photo's), the right front fender and right door are too damaged to repair so included with the car are a good used fender and good used deluxe trim door. To repair the damage the area where the door hinges attach you will need to be cut from another car and welded in place of the damaged one, also the dash between the glove box and edge is bent in and will need to be pulled out and repaired. The right rocker panel is bent in from the accident and the right front floor board is bent. A frame machine will need to be used to pull the rocker panel and floor back in place. The Car has not been started for many years. There is a dent on top of the left front fender and a dent on the hood. Also under the hood both shock tower braces are bent up near the firewall. This Futura is available for sale locally and I reserve the right to end the auction early if the car is sold outside of Ebay. This Car will need to be trailered home. Thank you for looking. On Jan-02-15 at 14:47:12 PST, seller added the following information: 01/02/2015, I put a breaker bar and socket on the crankshaft and the engine turns over good. I also looked the under side of the car over and it is a very solid car. There is surface rust and under coating but I did not see any rusted out area's. Thank you, Sincerely, Rick
