Vehicle Detail
Up for auction from my collection is my 1966 Honda CB450 K0 often times referred to as a Black Bomber by hobbyists. This CB450 has been in my collection for years and I have been saving it alongside my CL77, which is also up for auction this week, for a complete restoration. Unfortunately I now realize I don't have the time to give this rare timeless classic the attention it really deserves. The frame number appearing on this CB450 K0 is CB450-1003866 and the engine number appearing on this CB450 is CB450E-1002364 making it a numbers matching correct original example and the perfect restoration candidate for you to acquire. I was very selective when purchasing this CB450 years ago and looked at several before acquiring this clean example. It's time for you to benefit from my due diligence and selectivity when I choose this example years ago. I also of course have the original key and a clear title for this CB450 K0. I am convinced the new owner of this classic is going to be very happy with the restoration starting point they are acquiring. Also included for free is Vintage Motor Toys Priority NOS Parts Help Service for any restoration items you may need valued at nearly $1000*. Cosmetically this CB450 features the correct side covers, front and rear fenders and of course the correct fuel tank in beautiful original condition. The fuel tank is absolutely clean inside and the chrome tank panels and emblems show very nicely. The fenders are definitely usable and restorable and do not appear to be chopped or molested. As you can see the handlebars are incorrect but I am including the correct handlebars that are straight with this CB450. The original seat is mounted as well. As long as I have owned this CB450 it has been stored in my basement. The horn, for example, appears almost as new and is one of the nicest original horns I have seen. As you can see, the exhaust are missing from this CB450. I do have a complete exhaust set including head pipes and NOS mufflers that were professionally re-chromed to show quality. The exhaust are NOT included with the CB450 and are available to the winning bidder at an additional reduced cost of $1750 USD total. If you are a serious bidder and would like to see a picture simply message me and I will send you a picture of the exhaust set. Mechanically this CB450 ran strong at some point. It has been stored in my basement for years and the engine currently turns over smoothly with good compression. There's no doubt in my mind the engine is strong. I would recommend the new owner clean the carburetors and do any maintenance as recommended by Honda. The engine also features the correct original alloy spark plug caps as well. The engine and engine area are also very, very clean as is. Overall, this is a nice, clean example of a CB450 K0 that would be the perfect restoration candidate. As mentioned above, it comes with a clear title as well as original key. Regarding Payment and Shipping, I will accept a wire transfer or a certified check for the CB450. Payment must be received within 10 days of the close of the auction. I will and can assist with shipping this motorcycle anywhere in the USA or any other country in the World. I have shipped many classic Japanese motorcycles to Australia, Japan and Europe and have many different channels to get motorcycles exported for a reasonable cost. I can also work directly with your shipper if you are outside the U.S.A to get this motorcycle to you as well. I can help with the paperwork and any customs forms free of charge as well. We can work together and get this motorcycle to you if you are outside the USA-it is no problem at all. I can also deliver this bike to Forward Air free of charge or may be able to deliver within 500 miles of Minneapolis, MN for a fee. The bike is sold as is.
