Vehicle Detail

1979 Nocturne Blue Pontiac Firebird Trans Am 6.6 403 Driver Project I am the third owner. The title has the original gmac loan which I kept on. It comes with a GM release letter. Mechanics: Runs and drives great, does not smoke/overheat/knock. Transmission works good. Brakes are good. There is a little bit of a hum from the rear and it has a slow leak. I changed the fluid a while back and saw no damage to the gears. The axle bearing(s)/seals will need replacing at some point. The e-brake cable is broke. Exhaust is lacking a converter, no major leaks but it is a little cobbled. Tires are pretty worn and will need replacing. The A/C is disconnected and incomplete. Also the cruise is disconnected along with the speedo wire. The mileage says 101000 so I'm assuming its around 103,000. The wire was making a noise is why it got disconnected. Body/Frame: Needs bottom rears of the front fenders, drivers floor pan, and passenger rocker panels repaired. There are a couple small holes in the trunk along with some surface rust. The spring for the trunk also came off. Other floor panels have some surface rust, but are very solid. Bottoms of the doors are solid but are starting to rust a little. Passenger door initially held a bit of water after I sprayed the car down but then drained quickly as you can see in the pictures. Body needs to be painted along with some small dents repaired. There are some small surface rust spots where paint has chipped. Needs a battery tray at some point as well as, it holds but is rusty. There is a small hole in the panel the bumper attaches to as shown. The shaker had been cut out but I am including a custom magnetic cover. Subframes are very solid although the front does need bushings replaced. Quarters are very solid and I see no signs of bondo, factory seam to roof is apparent under paint. I have had this Trans Am almost 10 years and have never driven it anytime around winter. The wheels are not original to this year of course but are in good shape. Interior: Original color of the interior is light blue but I was going to swap it over to black. Its in need of some work. Has an aftermarket cd player and I dont have the original radio. I have almost every part (in decent driver condition) to complete this besides a carpet, back panel and some other small pieces. The door panels are for crank and this car is all power, so some tinkering will need to be done with that. I have a good black dash to go with the car that has to small repairs. Deluxe Hobnail seats are in better than average condition as shown. I also have a light blue carpet if you want to just sell the black and keep it original. Ask any questions you may have, I will answer as soon as I can. Some more pictures... On Sep-26-14 at 09:42:38 PDT, seller added the following information: I forgot to mention I also have an original drivers floor pan that just has a little hole in the center to go along with it. I also have a decent front light blue seat and rear seats if you want to make the interior original. Not to mention some extra door glass.
