Vehicle Detail

For your consideration is this beautiful 1964 1/2 Red Mustang Convertible. This car was treated to a nice driver Quality restoration about 6 years ago,It lived at the previous owners beach house and was used strictly as his nice weather beach car. I purchased this car a few months ago at which time I did a complete tuneup, Complete cooling system flush with, a new water pump and thermostat. The car also had a loud exhaust leak at the manifold, I found a good used original manifold to replace the cracked original,I replaced that along with the gasket and donut,it now runs nice and quiet. This car has the 170 inline six with C4 Automatic Transmission. I licensed and drove the car here and there during this past summer. I installed a new carpet to replace the sun bleached( faded) carpet. I also replaced the door panels(they were original and worn), I cleaned up the gauges, replaced the lens and bezel( they too were original and very tired) I rebuilt the auto shifter. Along with some other assorted things here and there. Everything seems to work well on this car(wipers, lights, horn, heater, etc.) with the exception of the radio,it is an older in dash cassette deck It was unplugged when I got the car ,I never bothered looking into hooking it back up as I had planned to replace it with a new retro sound radio with Ipod compatibility, etc. Had I decided to hang onto the car. The car looks great for an older restoration it does however have some of the typical dings and paint chips that can be expected of a car that has been driven and parked, etc. The worst body issue although barely noticeable is on the passenger rear quarter at the back (Please see photo). I also included a couple of photos of what I found when I pulled the carpet to change it, Beautiful red rust free floors. What better way is there to celebrate the Mustangs 50th than by driving one of the very first ones. Please ask any and all questions. I have set a very low reserve so please bid to own. Thanks for viewing my listing and good luck. Being that the car is 50 years old,it is being sold "AS IS" , "WHERE IS" There are no warranties or guarantees whatsoever. Door Tag info as follows : VIN 5F08U206057 BODY 76A , EXTERIOR COLOR J , TRIM 86, DATE 20G, DSO 13, AXLE 3, TRANS 6 The car is actively being shown and offered for sale locally(N.Y. 10547) ,so I reserve the right to end the auction at any point. Now for the business stuff : N.Y. Does not issue titles on older cars, They issue Transferable registrations which I have in my name, so the paper work is free and clear.Payment in the form of cash within 7 daysCar picked up within 2 weeks or Charges of $100 per week will apply. Sorry but the last car I sold took 2 months for pickup, I'm not a dealer,I have no space, which is why I'm selling it.I am not liable for any damage between payment and pickup of car.I strongly encourage any and all questions be asked prior to bidding, better yet please contact me to come and view the car.Pickup and transport is the sole responsibility of the winning bidder On Oct-01-14 at 07:56:45 PDT, seller added the following information: I wanted to add a few things. If you have 5 or less feedbacks please contact before bidding as I need to verify that you are legitimately interested in this car. I have had several zero feedback bidders who refused to communicate with me which led me to cancel their bids, this is why there has been some slight price fluctuation. I am taking this auction very seriously, so Please only bid if you are truly interested. I had neglected to include photos with the top up. As far as condition the top was replaced when the car was painted so it's a few years old,It appears fine with slight shrinkage here and there but seals well and doesn't leak or have any rips/tears in it and it goes up and down well. Other recent parts I've done but didn't mention,I replaced the starter with a new rebuilt unit, the oil pressure sender, and the temperature sender.
