Vehicle Detail
Up for auction is a very nice 1998 Ford Mustang GT Convertible that I purchased last year. I responded to the seller's ad on the second day, and bought it on the spot without even taking a test drive because of the condition it was in. I knew it was well maintained and taken care of. It had also been garaged when not driven, the entire time he owned it. It has a clean history record, and has never been in an accident! The only reason I am selling it, is because I have the opportunity to buy a vintage 1966 Mustang from my neighbor who is selling his for the first time ever! This vehicle has many additional add-on features that the second owner personally installed, including:-17" Chrome 5-Star Rims with Lock (approximate $1,200 Value)-Brand New (Never Installed) BBK Aluminum Valve Covers ($325 Value)(11 Bolt Driver Side Oil Fill)-Flowmaster American Thunder 40 Series High Performance Exhaust-Alpine (CDA-9883) CD Receiver with MP3/WMA/AAC Playback (iPod Ready)(CD Receiver has Built-In Amp, Fold-Down Detachable Face & iPod Connecting Cable)-2 Sets of Keys-1 4-Button Keyless Entry Remote with Doors/Trunk/Panic AlarmUltra Smokehead Head Light Lens-Brush Aluminum Knobs (AC/Heat)-Small White Face Gauge Panels Although this car has many extras included, it is not a show car by any means. I did not purchase it with the intent to garage it, but I only ended up putting less that 2K miles on it in a little over a year. I bought it because I wanted a convertible to drive in the spring/summer/fall, and it did not disappoint. The convertible top works great, and I kept it down most of the time (except when pollen was heavy in the spring). It does have the normal wear and tear on it for any car that is approaching 17 years in age (see condition description above). But when it is washed, with the chrome sparkling, it is a real head-turner! And with the Flowmaster exhaust, you can hear it coming a block or so away! The engine has been well maintained with only high octane fuel used. Oil changes have been made on it's regular schedule. Had a new alternator, belts, and fans installed over the summer. All power options work great on the car. Overall, had it professionally checked out twice a year from a trusted mechanic just in case I needed to be aware of anything. The convertible cover works great, although there are a few visible rips on it. There are no leans from the top, and has been through the car wash, and hand washed, numerous times. The paint has normal chips and a few blemishes here and there, but that is all customary with its age. The driver side seat has a small rip on the left side (near the door), which I am told can be filled in with no problem. I never installed the BBK Aluminum Valve Covers, and they are kept in the trunk. They can be installed, or sold for around $300 (all parts included). I have had offers on the rims as well, but wanted to keep them on the car as they make it stand out. Car sound great with the Flowmaster exhaust, and drives great. There are no mechanical issues, and it has always been garaged when not in use. It is a fun car to drive, and I hate to sell it, but I have a rare opportunity to purchase a vintage Mustang from my neighbor. Car can be picked up in person, or delivery arrangements can be made at the buyer's expense. Please feel free to emal me with any questions prior to bidding. Thank you and Good Luck!!!
