Up for auction is my 60 Impala 2 dr sport coupe.Just over 60,000 actual miles are on this numbers matching 283 V8, 2 speed power glide automatic, power pack 4 barrel carb and dual exhaust. This car is radio delete, padded dash, no power steering and no power brakes. I purchased this car out of Iowa where it had been sitting in a photo studio for 26+ years. The cars interior is original and untouched, including the carpet. There is a seam pulling apart in the back seat bottom but barely notieable, and a eraser size tear in the top of the back seat. The dash has a crack as seen in the pictures but I cover it with a dash mat. Headliner is near perfect and door panels, front seat and carpet are nice for a 54 year old car. Interior has no odors stains and is exceptionally nice for original. Stainless on dash is just about perfect with no dents or scratches and steering wheel is a thing of beauty. All instruments work as they should with the exception of the gas gauge which works when it wants to. Lights, horn, turn signals brake lights all work. The body of this car is rust free with no patches in the trunk or floor pan,, you won't believe just how nice this mid west car is. I repainted the roof and both sides of the car this spring, and also removed the bumpers and repainted both front and rear valance panels, and I believe the rest of the paint is factory. The bumpers and stainless on this car are fantastic. The only pieces I would replace are the headlight wiskers on the front fenders. Both the front and deck lid Chevrolet emblems have been replaced with factory correct oem replacements. I installed a new dual exhaust from the manifolds back with glass packs and it sounds very nice, also new u joints. The tail light lens are new also. This car was undercoated when new and along with the fact that it was in a heated building for 26 years will atest to how nice this car is. I have had it to several shows this year and it really draws a crowd. Under the hood we painted the valve covers and air breather and cleaned and clear coated everything else. I purchased a set of 15x8 rally wheels and had them blasted and painted gloss black and put on a new set of chrome spinners. We shoed it with Good Year integrity 215 70 r 15,s. However I do have the factory stock 14" rims with new tires which you have your choice of which you would rather have. If the bidding exceeds 20k you may have both.
