This example was ordered in Candyapple red with the 390 cubic inch V8 engine. This classic '68 Galaxie 500XL convertible is a pleasure to cruise. The paint and body are in very good condition throughout. All of the brightwork is intact and shows well. The hide-away headlamps function as they should. This car is a pleasure to drive. The front end was aligned, shocks replaced, sway bar bushings replaced, and an upper control arm bushing kit installed in 2012. The black convertible top is power operated and in good condition. The interior upholstery has been restored throughout in red vinyl. The seating is in exceptional condition. The dash displays the original gauges and Philco AM radio. The dash pad is in good condition throughout. The Mark IV air conditioning system is intact. The compressor is missing its belt and in need of a rebuild or replacement. The wheels of choice are chromed Cragar S/S 15-inch rims wrapped in 205/70 series whitewall radials all around. The original door identification plate is in place. Under the hood is the factory optioned 390 cubic inch V8 rated at 265 horsepower. The engine runs good, paired with the 3-speed automatic transmission. The engine compartment displays the original sheetmetal throughout the firewall, inner fenders, and core support. This car is factory optioned with air conditioning, power steering, and power front disc brakes. The undercarriage displays the original frame and flooring throughout. The front shocks were replaced along with the upper a-frame bushings, sway bar bushings, and brakes in 2012-13. We've got fine Fords at Texas Classic Cars of Dallas. We will do all of the title work. Non Texas residents are responsible for paying taxes in his/her state. Overseas customers will be charged a $30.00 fee for wire transfers.
