Up for auction from my collection is my 1975 Honda CB550 Four. The frame number appearing on this CB550 is CB550-1201596 and the engine number appearing on this CB550 is CB550E-1037219 making this a numbers matching correct original motorcycle. The odometer currently reads 440 original miles which is the actual and correct mileage of this CB550. I purchased this CB550 some time ago from a closed Honda dealer. This CB550 was a demo model that was later used as a parts bike for repairs on other CB550’s during the 70’s and 80’s. As you can see, it is missing some parts but if you can envision this CB550 with the missing parts you will see a very deserving restoration candidate and a rare opportunity to acquire an unbelievably low mileage CB550 which comes with many benefits that I will outline for you. I will also provide the name of the Honda dealer where this example originally came from to the purchaser as well. As you can see, some parts are missing from this CB550. The tires, which are the correct originals are in nearly perfect, new condition and would add value to a restored CB550 and would probably be worth hundreds of dollars if sold separately. Also most of the plastic, electrical and rubber parts are in excellent near new condition. The yellow factory final check paint marks are the nicest I have seen on any bike. If you can envision this CB550 with the missing parts you will see a very deserving restoration opportunity. The engine on this CB550 is currently frozen from sitting unattended for so many years. It may easily free up and I have not tried-I will let the new owner be the expert and have decided to leave it original. I also have a clear title in my name as well as original keys for this CB550.
