Vehicle Detail

I have for sale a 1977 Triumph TR7 V8 coupe, that has all the TR7 equipment replaced with TR8 parts/engine. This vehicle is silver, and has a Rimmer Bros. MK II body kit installed. The original color of the car was green, however it has had a complete and proper respray which included the trunk and engine compartment as should be done. The silver paint is serviceable, but it could do with a respray at some point in the future. The interior has very nice and complete biscuit upholstry, and has obviously all been replaced recently as it looks excellent, there is a pop-up sunroof installed, and the car has a full set of five (5) 14" Minilite wheels and Triumph TR8 power assisted rack and pinion steering. This car has had a significant amount of mechanical upgrades performed on it. The fuel pump and unilite ignition module have been recently replaced. This car runs very well. The engine is a 5 litre Rover V8, which has been professionally machined and fitted with a Buick 300 crankshaft, Chevrolet 327 shot peened and polished rods, Chevrolet 305 flat top pistons, and assembled with ARP fasteners throughout the entire engine. Topping the engine is a pair of Buick 300 aluminum cylinder heads that have been ported and polished, fitted with 1.7" intake and 1.5" exhaust valves and Crane high-lift valve springs. Valve lift and duration is managed by a Crane '216' grind camshaft with a double row timing chain and sprockets. Lubrication is provided by a TA high performance oil pump through ported oil passages, filtration is provided by a remote oil filter, and the engine is equipped with a solenoid controlled pre-oiler, and performing ignition functionality is a Mallory Unilite distributor. To allow this immense engine to breathe, it has been fitted with a pair of stainless 4-2-1 headers, mated to a complete Flowmaster exhaust system, complete with crossover piping. Power to the ground is provided by a Rover 5 speed manual transmission, equipped with a 1981 fifth gear which provides a .79:1 ratio., and off-set steel 22 pound flywheel, custom driveshaft, and a 3.08:1 Triumph TR8 rear axle. The brakes have been upgraded to 4 piston calipers with vented rotors, a TR8 master cylinder, and a TSI proportioning which provides additional braking pressure to the rear wheels. Suspension upgrades include replacment of all syspension bushings with polyurethane replacements, uprated sway bars, GAZ externally adjustable shocks and struts, and a custom strut tower brace to stiffen the front chassis.
