A Rare Opportunity From The Vintage Motor Toys LLC Private Reserve Up for auction from my collection is my 1974 Honda CB550 Four. The frame number appearing on this CB550 is CB550-1023809 and the engine number appearing on this CB550 is CB550E-1025744 making this a numbers matching correct original motorcycle. The odometer currently reads 3,802 original miles which is the actual and correct mileage of this outstanding CB550. This CB550 is one of the nicer examples in my personal collection but unfortunately with the amount of motorcycles I have collected over the years I now realize I am never going to have time to enjoy them all and have decided to let a few of my nicer examples go. I would like to stress the fact that this CB550 should not be confused with the other CB550’s that are commonly offered for sale that have been neglected, molested and were recently found in someone’s garage. As you can see from the pictures, this CB550 is in overall very nice condition. I have always taken excellent care of this CB550. This CB550 is no doubt in the top tier as far as condition, originality, cleanliness and correctness are concerned. As you can see from the pictures, this CB550 is in overall nice, clean and correct original condition. It even still sports the original tires in excellent original condition. The body work on this CB550 is original and the original flake orange paint simply glows on the fuel tank and side covers. The paint has absolutely no sun fade at all. The fuel tank does have a coating inside as well. The original seat matches the nice condition of the body work. The chrome is in overall nice, presentable original condition and shows nicely. The exhaust pipes are a strong point on this example and have absolutely no rust through issues. The left top muffler does have a small ding in it that does not detract from the overall quality of this example. The exhaust system as a whole is the nicest original CB550 exhaust that I have come across to date on an original example. As a whole cosmetically, this CB550 is a very, very outstanding original example. The factory yellow final check paint markings are present and most of the original finishes on this example simply glow. Mechanically, this CB550 has been stored and in my collection for quite some time and it has not been ridden or started in years. It will no doubt need the carburetors cleaned and any other general maintenance as recommended by Honda if you plan to ride this example but it would be more suited for a collection. The engine currently turns over smoothly with good compression as would be expected on a low mileage original like this. Even the original fuel lines are present on this example. Overall this is a very nice, clean and correct example of a 1974 CB550 that would be perfect to add to a collection, win with at vintage motorcycle shows or take out and ride with some maintenance etc. It is becoming very difficult to find original and clean examples of CB550’s and this is an outstanding example in my opinion. I also of course have a clear title in my name and keys for this CB550. This CB550 is ready for export if the new owner lives in another country. Regarding Payment and Shipping, I will accept a wire transfer or a certified check for the CB550. Payment must be received within 10 days of the close of the auction.
