Several weeks ago we ran this Edsel on ebay as we found it and not running. After not selling we decided to get it road worthy so here we go again. This Edsel has appeared in 2 movies including Shaw Shank Redemption. We have movie documentation for Shaw Shank. We found this rare Edsel in a Morrow county Ohio garage and it has been off the road for nearly 14 years. It is a numbers matching 6cyl 3 speed manual 6 passenger wagon with only an am radio and back up lights as options. In the last 3 weeks we did the following, new brake pads and turned all 4 drums, new wheel cylinders, new master cylinder, new brake hoses, pulled and repaired the gas tank, cleaned and resealed it. New fuel pump, new fuel filter, lube, oil and filter, coolant flush, new belts and hoses. All 4 rims were sand blasted, epoxy primed, sealed and repainted International Harvester red inside and out. New Coker Classic wide whites and the rims are so pretty we left the hubcaps off but they are included with the car. I have purchased a new windshield and new door glass for the front 2 doors as all 3 are cracked. The new glass is packed and sealed and included but you will have to have them installed. This car runs very well and shifts well to. The horn, heater, lights and radio are working at this time as do all the gauges and speedometer. Back up lights are not working and the wipers are week (vaccum). Interior is in decent shape and very usable. The paint is old so we gave it a good coat of motor oil to make it shine. This car has great patina. Solid floors and frame and tire well. Some rust in the rockers. Lots of surface grime scuffs and scratches. Stainless is above average average and chrome on bumpers is a little toasty, but hey its a driver not a trailer queen. This car has that great rat rod look everyone is after and it runs and drives well with all the major work now done. It's a wagon, it's an Edsel and it is cool. We have added a customized thermador swamp cooler to finish off the rat look. This is the second and last time this car will appear on ebay. Many of my cars sell before the auction is over so I reserve the right to end this auction early for local sale prior to meeting it's reserve. Once the reserve is met it will sell on ebay.
