These care are rising in value every year, take advantage of your opportunity to own a very nice example that you can drive. Enjoy our presentation and feel free to contact Dave at 214-213-7072 or Maris at 214-616-2317 with any questions. The 190SL shared many design features with its big brother, the legendary 300SL with exception of the chassis. This example showcases a brilliant red finish over the iconic body lines. The front end & fenders feature some customization work, primarily the latter headlamp assemblies & fender vents. This work was performed during the paint & body restoration, giving the car an even greater resemblance to its bigger brother, the 300SL. The interior is quite striking. The white and red really fit well together. The dash and vintage instrumentation & gauges are in beautiful condition. The factory-fitted VDO instruments are functional. The Becker push-button radio is intact and also functional. This is simply a beautiful interior. The white leather upholstery is in excellent condition. Under the hood resides the correct 1.9 litre Mercedes-Benz straight-4 SOHC engine, paired with the 4-speed manual transmission. The engine runs smoothly and the transmission shifts as it should. Again, this is a car that can be driven and shown. Be sure to play our video demonstration of this classic Mercedes. Further inspection of the engine compartment will confirm good sheet metal throughout the firewall, inner fenders, and core support. The original identification plates are affixed to the firewall. The undercarriage is in very good condition as well. Closer inspection of the paint will reveal a number of imperfections, as shown above. Altogether, this is a very nice car, but it is not a perfect one. There are some paint chip touch-ups inside the driver's door jamb. There is a paint crack near the snaps on the convertible top, shown just above. There is some paint bubbling seen along the passenger fender edge, near the body line as well. You have to look for it. The soft top is in excellent condition. The factory 13-inch wheels are fitted with updated B.F. Goodrich Silvertown radial wide whitewall tires on all 4 corners, sized at 165/80R13 all around. This is a very fun Mercedes to drive. Be sure to play the video. The trunk is clean and detailed, restored with stitched carpeting & matching spare tire/wheel cover. The spare itself is a full-sized wheel with new B.F. Goodrich Silvertown wide whitewall radial to match the others. We also have an extra convertible top boot, two in total. The one photographed on the car is more flexible and larger, draping & affixing down to the top of the rear seating. Many of our photos of this striking convertible were taken at the Dallas Love Field Frontiers of Flight Museum, located only minutes from our showroom. Enjoy our remaining photos and again feel free to contact Dave at 214-213-7072 or Maris at 214-616-2317 with any questions.
