1968 Porsche 911 L Sun Roof Coupe, Air Conditioning, Sportomatic Trans, Fuchs 14" alloy wheels. Needs a full restoration and rebuild. Mileage; The title is marked exempt. We do not know the mileage. Ebay requires that we put a number in their blank box so the 51,000 is what is on the odometer. It is not correct. The speedometer/odometer is a replacement unit and was not always in this car. We can not do a CarFax on an 8 digit VIN. Sorry for any confusion but we do not know the mileage. Body; The body has all of the usual rust and will need floors, rocker panels, fender repairs, quarter panel repairs and bumpers. Take a look at the photos when we had it up on a lift Engine; The engine is Type 911/07. The number has been removed from the case. The engine does not turn over, it is seized. It looks terrible, has corrosion and looks like it sat under water. It is a newer engine and therefore not the original. Trans; The transaxle is a Sprotomatic. The vacuum tank is on the side of the case. The reserve vacuum tank is mounted on the firewall in the engine compartment. I have not done a COA but I doubt it is the original. Suspension, Wheels; The suspension appears to be the original. The wheels are Fuchs 14" Alloys. Fuchs casting # 90136101600, AS108, 26538T The tires are 185/60/ 14 in poor condition but do hold air. Interior; The seats are black vinyl. The dash pad is in poor condition. It has the later white on black gauges, one is missing. There is no radio. The headliner is gone. History; This car sat in the back of a repair shop for 15 years or more. During that time parts were removed with a plan to restore the car. Times got tough and some of the parts were sold, some were lost. The car has been re-assembled but should be stripped down and re-worked. This is a major project and will need a lot of enthusiasm and money. The redeeming features are the rare combination of A/C, Sun Roof and Sportomatic transaxle. It will be worth the effort. You are welcome to come and look at the car. We are 15 miles North East of Hershey PA or about 3 hours West of the George Washington Bridge.
