Vehicle Detail
Up for auction from my collection is my 1970 Honda CB750 Four K1 that was originally candy red. I purchased this CB750 some time ago with the intent of doing a complete and show quality restoration as it is titled as a 1970 K1 model making it an early K1. I targeted this particular CB750 because it is an early example and has all the core components to complete a show quality restoration with and have a very valuable early CB750. I felt it would be an excellent starting point to do a complete and show quality restoration with. The frame number appearing on this CB750 is CB750-1054997 and the engine number is CB750E-1055497 making this a numbers matching correct original motorcycle. The build date on the vin tag reads 9/70. I now realize I do not have the time to do all the restorations I had originally planned on or time to give this early CB750 the attention it really deserves so I have decided to let it go to a new owner. I am convinced the new owner will have an excellent starting point for a show quality restoration or could easily have a very nice early CB750 with a light, frame on restoration and some general maintenance/parts. This would also be the perfect early CB750 to export to another country and restore as I have a clear title in my name and this CB750 is ready for export to any destination. Mechanically, this CB750 did run at one point and has been parked for years. The engine is slightly stuck from sitting unattended for years and may possibly easily free up. As you can see from the pictures, this deserving restoration candidate will need some parts but if you can envision this CB750 with side covers and gauges installed you will see a mostly complete and deserving restoration candidate. Since it has been parked for so long, the new owner will no doubt need to perform some general maintenance if the bike is to be used without a restoration and at a minimum it will need all general maintenance and inspections performed in addition to parts. I believe this would be an excellent candidate for a restoration since it is a numbers matching original example with a clear title titled as a 1970 K1 which is rare. The early CB750 models have always been a favorite of mine but unfortunately I do not have time to enjoy all the Japanese motorcycles I have accumulated over the years so it is time to let a few go and let you enjoy them as I have. I had originally planned to do a complete show quality restoration on this early CB750 at some point as this is a very deserving candidate. I am convinced the new owner will have an outstanding starting point to do a complete or show quality restoration with or do some general maintanence and restoring on this particular example and enjoy it. It is very rare to find an early production CB750 offered for sale especially from a reliable collector with excellent feedback from selling New Old Stock parts and motorcycles from his collection. I also of course have a clear title in my name for this CB750. Regarding Payment and Shipping, I will accept a wire transfer or a certified check for this CB750. Payment must be received within 10 days of the close of the auction. I will and can assist with shipping this bike anywhere in the USA or any other country in the World. I have sent many bikes to Australia, Japan and Europe and have many different channels to get bikes exported for a reasonable cost. I can also work directly with your shipper if you are outside the U.S.A to get this motorcycle to you. I can help with the paperwork and any customs forms free of charge as well. We can work together and get this bike to you if you are outside the USA-it is no problem at all.
