Vehicle Detail
******* THIS IS A NO-RESERVE AUCTION !!!! ******* HIGHEST BIDDER WINS !!!! You're looking at an original rare 1967 Pontiac GTO H.O. (High Output). It was built in California and purchase new at Hine Pontiac in San Diego, CA (as shown in the picture of the trunk lid, but missing the “Hine” emblem). I have purchase all the PHS (Pontiac Historical Society) information to verify the car. It looks to me like it was a “go fast” model, not many options: Push button radio, manual antenna Soft ray glass / windshield only Custom seat belts Deluxe wheel discs (hubcaps) Center console (with bucket seat only) Safe-T-Track rear axle (3.55 posi) 4 speed manual / wide ratio H.O. 4 bbl V8 400 cu. in. 360 H.P. F-70 x 14 red-white oval tires Black interior Regimental Red Remote driver's side mirror The car had been sitting since 1997 inside. We brought it home, pulled the gas tank out, drained all the old gas out, cleaned the inside of the tank, put new hoses on it, fresh gas, a set of points, a battery and it fired right up. No noises, no smoke, no rattles. Runs good. 90% of the original paint is still on the car. I had the car detailed (buffed out). It's shiny, but definitely needs paint. When I had it up in the air on the lift, I pressure washed the motor compartment and the underneath. It's semi-clean. At least all the dirt came off, not the grease. The underneath looks very solid, very nice frame. The original GM sticker was even on the rear part of the frame. Actual mileage on the car is unknown. The car does not have the original motor. It has a YS code motor with #670 heads and the original exhaust manifolds. The intake manifold is dated 1967. I'm not sure what year the motor is or what it came out of. The Muncie 4- speed transmission is original with the correct shifter but wrong knob. The rear end in the car is the original Safe-T-Track 3.55 posi. It even has the original upper and lower reinforcement bars. It also has the hard-to-find 4 original steel wheels with the matching spare. The original bumper jack setup is in the trunk. There are two lug nut wrenches. I'm not sure which one is correct, but they both are included with the car. The original hubcaps and the radio are missing. The interior dash pad is perfect, no cracks. The center console is not broken. The GTO dash plaque is perfect. The original steering wheel is nice, with only one crack at the hub area. It had a wrap on it for years. The glove box light, courtesy light, console light, dome light and reverse lights all work. The front grilles are nice, not broken. The plastic grilles have very small cracks in the corners (easy fix). The chrome headlight bezels are real nice. There are two original T-3 headlights. The lower body stainless on the car is very, very nice, a 9 out of 10. The windshield has a bee-bee size mark in it with a windshield wiper scratch on the passenger side. All the other glass is in super nice condition. There is rust in the trunk pan, the lower front windshield, the lower rear glass, and the driver's side tail light area (as shown). Overall the car is straight, but bodywork will be needed. 4-speed H.O. GTO's are hard to find! It's a great car to restore or do a little to it and drive it the way it is and have people chasing you around trying to buy it! If you'd like to come see the car, you are more than welcome to come by. If you need more information (a walk around description) or more specific pictures, you can email me or call me, Mike, at (760) 519-3478. If you are an overseas buyer, I have a truck and trailer and can transport the car to a shipper in Long Beach for $300. If you are in the US and need a transporter, a reliable one I have done business with is Hanover Transport. You can call them for a quote 1-888-919-1677. This vehicle is being sold as is with no implied warranty. If I have not had contact from the winning bidder within three days of the end of the auction, I will assume you are a non-paying bidder and will proceed through the ebay steps accordingly. Payment is to be paid in full within 7 business days of the end of the auction and pickup within 14 days of the end of the auction unless other arrangements are agreed upon.
