1979 Datsun 280 zx, I have owned this car since 1997. It was on the cover of Grass Roots Motorsports August 2004. I built this Datsun using a John's cars kit out of Texas. It was purchased with motor mounts,trans mount, driveshaft and driveshaft coupler, speedometer gear & electrical conversion. Kit was in the $900 range. I started with a rust free body. It had a 383 stroker small block chevy. ( removed) Included will be a 1991 Iroc Z World Class T5 manual transmission.( works perfect).A Hurst shifter I purchased new.10.5 Mc Cloud clutch ( Viper style) Super Street PRO, It has a Nissan R200 (turbo car) diff installed with 3.54 gear ratio. I went a 122mph in 4th gear with 5500 rpm. Still has fifth gear ratio of .74. ( approx.159 mph) Included is a second R200 same gear ratio with a locker installed. Suspension was updated with KYB struts and shocks. Eibach pro spring kit. most of the suspension,steering coupler and sway bar bushings were replaced with Energy Suspension poly items. It has Hedman shorty headers, with a Flowmaster "Y" pipe a 3 inch Flowmaster single muffler exiting in Drivers rear valance. It also has a 3 inch cutout that dumps before the muffler. Includes is a Griffen aluminum radiator mounted in proper position. Ford Taurus electric fan controlled by a thermo switch keep it cool.Factory gas tank with 3/8 Moroso aluminum gas line to the engine compartment. I ordered a factory built rollbar (Autopower) and added down tubes making it a six point rollbar. 1990s model Mazda Miata seat are in the driver and pass position with G force 5 point harnesses. Factory Tach was calibrated for the v8 engine. All factory gauges are operational.It has an early 260z wood grain steering wheel installed. Heat and air controls were removed but can be installed.(included) It has Centerline 16x7 inch wheels installed. Tire size is Falkin 225-50-16. Also included are 2 Nitto 555 r Drag radials.(70 %) I also purchased a RAM AIR BOX from Canada that clears the hood with most intakes. It currently is ducted through the drivers headlight. Have headlight and mount. Car has not been left outside since I purchased in 1997. I have a custom ordered carpet kit and misc interior panels if you with to intstall. There is no body damage. Included is 4 years of garage dust. ( no charge). I have over 10k invested in the current setup.Priced to sell. Selling to finance other projects.
