Here for sale is my 1973 Plymouth Road Runner. I have owned this car for 6 years and have used it as a daily driver while I have been working on a restoration. Unfortunately, as in many cases these days, the money has run out and I must sell my car before I have completed everything. (MY WIFE SAYS IT MUST GO!) The car has always started and has been very reliable; however I have not been able to finish the top end project on the engine. It does start but needs adjustments to valve timing and some new plug wires. It currently has a 440 with a 4bbl and 4spd transmission with a Hurst Pistol Grip Shifter. It was originally built with a 400 in it so is not a numbers matching car. It is air conditioned but the compressor is not currently installed. I do not know how many miles are on the engine but it seems to be good and tight and does not burn oil. It has more than enough to break the rear wheels loose and does not smoke. The mechanical part of the restoration is close to complete and you will see a list of repairs and replacements below. The transmission has just been rebuilt and has less than 100 miles on it ($1,000 for this job). For the most part, the car needs engine adjustments, body work and some interior work. Hopefully, the pics will help tell the story. Both lower rear quarters need to be repaired due to rust. I have one for the left side that is still in the box. The rest of the car has some minor surface rust starting to show through the paint but there is nothing major there. As is typical of these cars, the window frames need to be re-done as they appear to be original. The windshield washer appears to have been removed when the engine was replaced before I owned the car. There are also quite a few parts that will come with the vehicle that I have not yet had time to install. Vehicle wiring will also require some attention. The new heads, carb, etc. still require adjustment and setup. The engine starts but I would not recommend any attempts at driving very far without completing the setup. I am sure that there are a lot of things that I have forgotten, so ask questions. Email is the best way as I am not always able to answer my phone.
