Vehicle Detail
For sale is this completely rust free former Texas car that has never seen salty winter roads.I have personally owned bought and or sold over 50 metros in the past 15 years, and I have never seen one with a body as solid and rust free as this one.It is in my sons name because I sold it to him a few months ago, because he wanted a four door to make it easier to travel with his two small kids.He already had a metro two door so he traded it to me for the four door.Anyhow now he wants a truck, and that's how I once again have the metro for sale.Thats more info than you needed, but I wanted to explain why the car is in his name and is located in Stoystown Pa.15563 close to where my son lives in Stoystown.I have a piece of property there in Stoystown.I was there over the 4 of July week, and drove the car around than took pictures to post it.Let me give you some information on the car. It is a red 4 door automatic as seen in the pictures. It runs good and has good power for a 3 cylinder.Shifts smovely through all gears. The doors all work good and tight no sagging do to bad bushings.Glass all good,I replaced the windshield because of a crack. The new windshield is tinted on the top.It is equipped with air,and all componets are there including the belt, but I think it needs recharged.Has real good tires, good brakes and the exhaust is solid quiet and without leaks.Timing belt looks new.I put a new water pump on it.New air filter. The headliner is in great shape. This metro has the back window defroster and window wiper. It has a radio that works but the volume control is touchy.Heator works good.My son just got a new Pa. inspection done, and the sticker is good through June 2014.The A-arms surports that sometimes go bad in these Metros are good as new in this one.Well like I say it is a rust free car from Texas. Here are a few things that would improve the car.The driver window sticks and needs help going up.The paint on the hood is faded more than the rest of the car.I did not try buffing it.That would probably make a world of difference.even a good wax job.The driver front fender has some clear coat pealing off.The rear hatch will not stay up on it,s own.The one strut makes a squeeking sound at times, but seems to work good,so I left it alone. Also the front passenger inside door handle is cracked in two but stiil opens the door.Thats all I can think of at this time.If you have any questions call me at 814-746-1263. Please Liston carefully..If my reserve is met I will not end the auction early ,but will let it run it's course. To end the auction at that point would not be fair to the one who met the reserve,or to any person who has a bid beyond the reserve. Also I have determined to keep the car if my reserve is not met, simply because I may never find another one in this condition again. It was a very wet day when I took the pictures, and the windows are a little fogged up.Thanks for looking Marty 814-746-1263
