Vehicle Detail

Up for auction from my collection is my 1974 Honda CB750 K4 Four. I purchased this CB750 some time ago with the intent of doing a complete and show quality restoration. I targeted this particular CB750 because I felt it would be a good restoration candidate of a CB750 that is rapidly increasing in value and desirability with the earlier CB750’s becoming very difficult to locate. The frame number appearing on this CB750 is CB750-2309176 and the engine number is CB750E-2308938 making this a numbers matching correct original motorcycle. The odometer currently reads 21,480 miles. The build date on the vin tag reads 7/73. I now realize I do not have the time to do all the restorations I had originally planned on or time to give this CB750 the attention it really deserves so I have decided to let it go to a new owner. I am convinced the new owner will have an excellent starting point for a show quality restoration or will have a nice CB750 to enjoy with some restoring and maintenance. Mechanically, this CB750 did run when parked many years ago. It will no doubt need to be serviced with the carburetors needing being cleaned and all other maintenance being performed as well. The engine turns over smoothly with good compression. I believe this would be an excellent candidate for a restoration/nice driver as it appears to be mostly complete with the exception of a few parts that are missing in the pictures but are easily and readily available. Cosmetically, this CB750 shows some patina and the fuel tank does have some chips and dings but is a restorable and usable fuel tank. The fuel tank is solid and would be an excellent fuel tank to repaint to show quality with some minor body work or enjoy as is in its original paint condition. The seat is the correct original and could use replacing. This CB750 sports period correct aftermarket exhaust which are both attractive and stylish. They appear to be overall very solid and in presentable condition. They could be used as is. The chrome on the rest of the CB750 is presentable and all the components could be used as is or re-chromed including the front and rear rims and the front and rear chrome fenders. The gauges are also originals. The original front and rear chrome fenders are in usable condition along with the chrome fork ears and headlight bucket. The handlebars are not correct and I would recommend finding the original low style bars and installing them since the bar switches and master cylinder will need to be mounted. As you can see, the side cover is missing and an attractive period correct sissy bar has been installed as well. The CB750 models have always been a favorite of mine but unfortunately I do not have time to enjoy all the Japanese motorcycles I have accumulated over the years so it is time to let a few go and let you enjoy them as I have. I had originally planned to do a complete show quality restoration on this CB750 at some point as this is a very deserving candidate. I am convinced the new owner will have an outstanding starting point to do a complete or show quality restoration with or do some general maintanence and restoring on this particular example and enjoy it. It is very rare to find aCB750 offered for sale especially from a reliable collector with excellent feedback from selling New Old Stock parts and motorcycles from his collection. I also of course have a clear title for this CB750 as well. Regarding Payment and Shipping, I will accept a wire transfer or a certified check for the CB750.
