Vehicle Detail

Up for auction is my 1970 T250 II Scrambler. I purchased this T250 Scrambler sometime ago as I felt it was an original, low mileage example that would be the perfect starting point for a complete, show quality restoration. Unfortunately, with so many motorcycles in my collection, I now realize I am never going to have the time to give this T250 Scrambler the attention it deserves. The frame number appearing on this T250 is T250-19720 and the engine number appearing on this T250 is T250-19737 making this a numbers matching, correct original example. The speedometer currently reads 12,593 miles. The build date on the steering neck reads 3/70. I am convinced the new owner of this T250 Scrambler is going to have an outstanding starting point for a restoration. Cosmetically, this T250 Scrambler is original except for the fact that the body work appears to have been repainted at some point. The inside of the fuel tank is bright and shiny metal and is very clean. Because of the nice inside condition, I feel this fuel tank does warrant repainting. The side cover is present and does not have any visible cracks or other damage and could be used as is or repainted as well. The oil tank is also present and in nice restorable condition. The emblems are also original and in nice condition. The original seat is present and the cover is worn from age but is original. The original front and rear fenders are present. The original chrome chain guard is also mounted in the correct location and is a very nice original. The correct rear shocks and air box /intake assembly are also mounted in their correct orientations. The original headlight bucket as well as correct headlight bulb and fork ears are also present and in restorable original conditions. Correct front and rear turn signals as well as the original tail light are also a nice feature of this T250. The original handlebars appear to be straight and feature the correct and original handlebar switches as well as the correct hand grips. The correct gauges are also mounted and in restorable condition. The scrambler style and original exhaust pipes on this T250 Scrambler are in overall very, very nice condition. It would be difficult to find an original and solid set of T250 Scrambler pipes like these and this is one of the main reasons I targeted this particular example. The exhaust on this T250 are solid with no major dents or visible damage. These nice and very difficult to find original pipes could be cleaned up and used as is or could easily be restored to show quality with minimal effort because of their nice condition. Mechanically, this T250 has not been run or on the road for years and the engine has frozen from sitting for so long. The original carburetors are present and will no doubt need cleaning and setting. Also, I would recommend new spark plugs and setting the ignition points and any other general maintenance as recommended by Suzuki. Overall, this is a mostly original (except for original paint) T250 II Scrambler that has been parked for sometime. If you can look past the poor paint you will see a very solid T250 Scrambler with most of the very difficult to find original parts in very nice condition such as the exhaust. This T250 would be the perfect starting point for a complete restoration as it is a rare model. I also of course have a clear title for this T250 Scrambler in my name as well as the original Suzuki keys. Regarding Payment and Shipping, I will accept a wire transfer or a certified check for the T250. Payment must be received within 10 days of the close of the auction.
