I bought this bike about 4 years ago from a local owner. It was in pretty sad shape, but it was complete and not frozen up. I stripped it completely and had all the frame pieces powder coated. I tore down the engine and transmission, honed the cylinder and replaced the piston and rings. I also replaced the kick start shaft, muffler, ignition coil, key switch and seat. Then I licensed it as a moped in Michigan and have been using it ever since. I also installed (but have yet to paint) the chain cover, and installed turn signals. It is still missing a few original nuts and bolts, but it starts and runs nicely, and if you hunch down you can almost get it up to 40mph! To make it prettier, you should re-chrome (or replace) the rims. There is no title, since it has always been licensed as a moped. All in all, I've spent about $600 on parts. With a little effort, the bike could look like new again; right now it's just very nice. Please plan to pick up vehicle or arrange for your own shipping.
