1973 Chevrolet El Camino Super Sport "SS" Up for auction today is a local El Camino. It is a 1973, which is the first year of the fourth generation El Camino's This one is equipped with a Small Block Chevrolet engine. I do not know if it is the original, but it does have some nice upgrades on it. The engine has been modified with an Holley 4 barrel carburator, Edlebrok alloy intake maniford, and M/T valve covers. It does start and run very well. The 383 emblem on the intake is not verified as correct. The heads do appear to be 383 heads, but we are not experts. The SS came with either a 350 or a 454 in the SS trim, either this one is a 350 or the prior owner upgraded it to a 383 for better performance. You are welcome to have the car inspected. The rest of the drivetrain is in good conditon, and goes down the road great. The interior is mostly all stock, the carpets and seats are good conditon, as well with the door panels. It does have a carpet dash cover, because it does have a few crack in the pad. The bed has a Line-X bedliner that is in perfect condition. It does have IROC style rallye wheels with great tires. The bumpers are in good conditon, while the wheel openings are a little beat up. The paint does appear to be mostly stock and looks very presentable.
