Vehicle Detail
This car is being relisted thanks to A "Non responsive Bidder" .Please only bid if you intend to go through with the purchase. This listing is for a 1966 Mustang "A" code G.T. Fastback Project or Parts car. This listing is for U.S. BIDDERS ONLY !!!!!! I am a long time Mustang owner, collector, restorer. This is a rolling shell, with MASSIVE amounts of ROT. If someone were to attempt to restore this car they would basically need to weld in all new metal ( Frames, floors, cowls, Full quarters, wheelhouses, etc.,etc.etc.) It needs everything. I cannot list every piece that it needs, it is a bare rolling shell, If you see a part in the photos please assume it's bad and if you don't see a part in the photos please assume it's not there(there's no wiring,no interior, drivetrain, etc.) . I purchased this a while back thinking I would possibly restore it "One Day". I no longer have the Time, Space, or desire to do that so I am offering it up for sale, I am starting the bidding cheap with no reserve as It's time to move on. I bought this as a non rolling shell, I put a bare 8 inch rear housing and 5 lug axles out of another 66 to make it rollable (there is no center section or rear brake parts). The front fender apron on the drivers side appears to have been changed at some point as the welds do not appear to be factory and the bottom was left loose as well.Because of this the numbers in the front usual underhood place are gone. The numbers I can find on the car are on the door tag,as well as the rear ones under the hood on the drivers side( please see photos) .They decode as follows (this was a pretty sweet car when new). Warranty Number: 6T09AYear:61966 Plant:TMetuchen, NJ Body Series:092+2 Fastback Engine:A289 4v V8 Unit: Miscellaneous Vehicle DataBody:63B2+2 Fastback, Pony Interior Color:TCandyapple Red Trim:66Black Crinkle Vinyl, Pony Interior Date:07 D.S.O:11Boston Axle:13.00:1, Conventional Trans:54-Speed Manual Looking at photos # 5 & 6 ( dual exhaust reinforcements and foglight wiring holes in radiator support) tells me it was A Factory G.T. This car had been made into A shelby clone in it's past life as it has fiberglass: quarter scoops,"R" model valence and a lift off hood as well as plexi glass quarter windows. I am including a new pair of full length floors for the car although if one were to restore it they would probably want to go with a 1 piece pan. The winner does not have to take the new floors if they don't want them, the original floors were cut out at some point. This car is located in NEW YORK Zip code 10547. This is a cash at pickup sale. I paid cash for the car I will not accept any form of check, wire transfer, electronic payment, etc. CASH ONLY Please. Winning bidder is responsible for transport, this car should be towed on a full trailer or better yet with a flatbed. This car is being sold "AS IS" "WHERE IS" . With a Bill of sale only This car has NO TITLE Ebay made me put an entry in the title section N.Y. Requires only a transferable registration which I DO NOT HAVE. If I had kept the car to restore I had planned on using a title service to register the car. The winning bidder will need to figure out what paper work is required by their state. I strongly suggest any potential bidders to email me with any questions or better yet come and view the car before bidding. I would like the car paid for and picked up within a reasonable time period after the auction has ended ,weekdays work best for pickup for me. If the car is not picked up within a timely fashion there will be storage charges of $100 per week unless the buyer and I have worked out a pickup arrangement beforehand.Sadly I have to write this because I had a car sell on ebay a while back and the buyer didn't pick it up for 2 MONTHS...... I do deserve the right to end the listing early.Fastbacks are only getting harder to find so don't miss out on a cheap project or parts car. Thanks for looking and good luckOn May-11-13 at 11:23:18 PDT, seller added the following information: I received an email about the floors, as stated in the listing,They were cut out for replacement at some point in the past.I bought new ones and laid them in place. Please see the photo I just added it shows how the car sits . Once again this car needs lots of metal work,Please email me with any questions. Thanks
