This vehicle is offered for sale with a Bill of Sale by Owner: 1952-1965 (not sure which) IH R1856 was running when we got it 3-4 years ago starter failed and we have not fixed it. Originally put into service in the Texas Hill Country west of San Antonio TX. We are putting the opening bid at less than the current local salvage value. We hope that it goes to a good home it would be a shame to sell it for scrap. From the info plate: wheelbase 175 / Net HP 184 @ 2600 / Gross HP 212 @3000rpm / GVW 25,500 Serial # FD 13408Located in San Marcos TX three miles from Interstate Hwy 35. San Marcos is between Austin and San Antonio. With a 25,500 GVWR it will be equipped with a 18,5K lb rear axle. All of the specs i find show: Red Diamond 372, six-cylinder valve-in-head type. Bore, 4% in.; stroke, 4J/g in.; displacement, 372 cu. in.; compression ratio, 6.5 to 1. Maximum brake horsepower, 165 at 3200 r.p.m.; maximum torque, 308 lb.-ft. at 1600 r.p.m. I do not know why this build plate shows a higher HP figure therefor not sure if it is a 372 six or larger.
