Vehicle Detail

1970 911E Non Sunroof Coupe Barn Find in New Mexico! Matching numbers with original documents Original color code 2424 Burgundy (looks to be a 1971 color option) One of 1304 cars built (non Karman factory) Only 82k miles Chassis # 9110200143 Engine # 6200721 We are moving our shop and don't have time for this project(already have three in the works), what a great starting point. This chassis in very good condition with no rust in the typical spots. The car had widened rear fender flares done in steel, added at some point. It retains it's "long nose" front fenders, but they have been flared as well. There is some rust in the bottom of the right front fender, please see included photo's. The only other spot that has more than surface rust is behind the rear window on the drivers side, again we have included a photo of this area. The engine and transmission are complete. This is an Mechanical Fuel injected car just like the "S" cars that are bringing $60K in this conditon. I originally wanted to keep this car and make a ST clone since the body work was already done. I could just imagine the car with the great sound from the 2.2 and mechanical fuel injection. The motor turns over freely, but we have not tried to start it in fear of doing damage, since it has been sitting so long. It was in a collector/hoarders shop that passed away in New Mexico, and was kept indoors. A friend of mine told me about it since he knows I have Porsche hoarders sickness. You can tell it was a runner, due to the bald tires! It was someones dream car for sure. We were very surprised when we opened the glove box and found a complete owners manuals and service book. Just these alone are worth $350 on ebay. It does not look like it has ever been in any sort of accident. On the underside we noticed one that the rear sway bar has pulled out of its mounts, quite common to see on these cars. The battery boxes and front undertray are in great condition and original, as well with the rear torsion tubes. Also the footbox is in great condition. The interior is rough, the car will need interior work including seats, door panels, dash pad, but the gauges are easily saved. Please keep in mind this car needs a full restoration - everything - so please dont call and ask if it can be driven away. Even I as I am writing this ad, I am regretting not keeping this car...
