Up for auction is this 1964 Pontiac Bonneville 2 door Sport Coupe 8-cyl 389cid/306HP 4 BB. This is a 2 owner car with the last owner keeping it in his heated garage for 29 years. It has been babied for all its life and it shows. It is an excellent condition all around. It is the original paint with a few rock chips that have been touched up over the years. You really have to know what you are looking for to see them. This is a very rare set up with the hard top coupe 389, and is production number #1562. It has a new 389 4bb in it which really gets up and goes. The transmission has been upgraded to a 350 turbo as with both having about 10,000 miles on it. The owner said they do not have any paperwork due to a fire in his office, but you can tell by looking the engine is new, and the tranny runs much better then the old 2 gear ones. The reverse is not all the way down and is the upgraded shifting with reverse next to park makes things much easier when cruising down the highway. The classic white on red really looks nice and the interior has been kept in amazing shape. The car is 99% rust free. There is a very tiny small amount of surface rust which you can see in the pics in the door jam. The trunk is 100% rust free and looking great. The headliner does not sag down and does not have any rips or tears. The car did not have a wax job just a quick wash to show you how nice the paint really is. This is a turn key ready to drive no problem car. Tires in good shape and goes straight down the road. This is a classic that you can pull right up to your local show and shine with pride. Be ready to get tons of thumb ups. She rides very quiet and is so much fun on a road trip.
