Vehicle Detail

This fine example of a neglected 1960something or other International Harvester Travelall is offered for sale. All I know is it was really hard getting it on my trailer (this time) by myself with all four tires flat and I am still pissed that I wasted more than half a day off doing it. I will copy and paste some dribble regarding this pos below. In April 1961 the Travelall underwent the same changes as the pickup upon which it was based. The new C-series Travelall benefitted from a whole new chassis with all new independent front torsion bar suspension. Aside from the lower body, the most obvious visual difference were that the twin headlights were now mounted side-by-side, and a new grille of a concave egg-crate design. The wheelbase for the C-100/C-110 Travelall went up to 119 inches, as the front wheels were mounted further forward. This adjustment increased the front clearance angle in spite of the lower body. This series was available either with a flip-down tailgate or two doors. The fold down gate had a window which wound down electrically. Development continued in a gradual fashion, becoming the D-series in 1965. A steady stream of new grilles and headlight treatments set the model years apart until a more thorough makeover took place in 1969. Until this model change, the Travelall had been considered merely a version of the related pickup truck; after the facelift the Travelall became a separate series. Thank you http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/International_Harvester_Travelall for this delightful information I helped a friend pick this thing up many years ago (on the same trailer) with the fantasy of being a real Ghostbuster (ok I made up the Ghostbuster thing) it sat at his place then my place then his commercal property blah blah blah and now it is back at my place. I do not know anything about this car other than the pictures, I did not even turn on the water hose to rinse it off. No, I will not do a compression check or mount tires or spend any more time with this vehicle unless it does not sell and then I may just make it a yard-art planter/greenhouse to piss off my neighbors or just set it on fire for fun. OK just in case there is someone out there that really wants this thing it is suprisingly rust free and looks like a great starting point for a resto. It has all of the vin / warning / build plates in surprisingly good condition including one for the Factory LSD/Locking Diff. If there are known problem areas and/or if specific pictures are wanted let me know. The front bumper is in the the car, you can see it in the picture with one of my cats crawling around the interior. The higher the bid the more motivated I become to spend more time with this thing. Please do not expect much effort on my part if the car is at or near three digits in price. God only knows where the original title is, we will provide a bill of sale to the lucky (LOL) new owner. TRADES are not only considered they are ENCOURAGED! If you really want this thing but don't have the money send me an email with a picture and brief description of what you want to trade! THIS CAN BE FUN PEOPLE! I will NOT help you get this on YOUR trailer without lots of adult beverages (provided by you)
