Rare Buick! The Best Deals on Classic Wheels! This is one solid 1949 Buick Super 8! Does it have cosmetic issues? Yes. In the frame and primary structure all intact and in good shape? Yes. Does it run and drive nicely? Yes. This is truly a piece of automotive Americana. This Buick was used as a family car for a very long time, it rides nicely with a smoothly running engine, nicely shifting transmission, and brakes that stop the car well. You can drive this car to the car shows immediately and enjoy it today, tomorrow, and for the next 10 years. The undercarriage is in very good condition with only minor surface and no holes in the frame, floorboard, rockers, or other areas. There are a number of bubbles and imperfections in the paint (see the detailed pictures), but overall the body is good and the car can be driven and enjoyed. If you are looking to make this into a show car then you can begin the work at some point in the future. The interior is in good condition, the seats have been recovered in a quality fabric, the dash and instruments all feel good in your hands and operate smoothly. The door panels are worn and stained, but this is a relatively easy fix. The paint is not original, but it does still have some shine. There are a number of imperfections and the normal paint bubbles, but overall it is good but if you wanted it to be perfect then you can begin that process this winter.
