Up for auction is a 1949 Willys Jeepster. I bought this on ebay in 2008 for $1750. from an ebayer in Staaten Island, NY. I had it transported to Wichita, KS; as I had been working there, (where it is as pictured). The previous owner started the restoration, replacing the front end with that of a mustang II, and also prepped the engine compartment. I have done nothing but pay storage and buy tarps. My plan had been to put the Jeepster body on a Wagoneer frame with the 360 and quadra-trac. I am no longer working in Kansas and although Arizona is a much better market, I will not pay to move it again. It is relatively rust free, with the only bondo on the passenger rear wheel well (see pics) . The floor as you can see has been cut open above where the transmission sits, but the front floor boards are otherwise solid. There are 2 additional ares of concern with the floor, and I tried to pictiure them, they are behind what would be where the front seats would go. On the driver side it almost looks like its cracked, and on the passanger side there is a small rusted area around where it bolts to the frame see pic. There is almost no trim and no bumpers or seats. But there were only 19,000 of these produced from 1949 - 51; and an estimated 3000 still on the road. There is a rusty Jeepster in California listed right now with all the trim and bumpers which would make a good match to get a good one out of the 2. Thanks for looking.
